Abstract

1. A cartridge with a shotgun bullet, comprising a lead head (1) with a point and a plug of resilient material connected to the lead head (1) by a plug-in connection and consisting of a top part (3) defined by a bottom end face (3b), a rod-shaped middle part (4) merging into the top part (3), and a bottom part (5) in the form of a flat-topped piston and the top part (3) is formed as a cylindrical stud (3a), characterised in that the stud (3a) completely fills a recess (1a) in the lead head (1), in that the middle part (4) is connected to the bottom part (5) via a predetermined breaking point (6), in that a projection (4a) is provided on the middle part (4) and acts as a support for the bottom part (5) during the bullet flight and in that the distance (a) between the end face (3b) and the projection (4) is equal to the thickness (D) of the bottom part (5).

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Patrone mit Flintenlaufgeschoß nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1. Konzentrisch zu diesem Zapfen ist ein Keilring angeordnet, der in eine keilringnutförmige Aussparung im Bleikopf eingreift. Dabei hängt der Umfang der Räume von der Herstellungsgenauigkeit der miteinander in Eingriff stehenden Teile ab. Man hat es hiernach bei der Konstruktion einer derartigen Patrone mit Flintenlaufgeschoß auf keinen Fall in der Hand, von vorn herein festzulegen, ob und in welchem Umfang diese freien Räume nach der Zündung der Treibladung vorhanden sind. Das heißt mit anderen Worten, daß wegen der möglichen Relativbewegung der miteinander in Eingriff stehenden Teile nach der Zündung der Treibladung der Schwerpunkt des Geschosses nicht genau fixierbar ist.   • b) Der Mittelteil (4) ist mit dem Unterteil (5) über eine Sollbruchstelle (6) verbunden.
  • c) Am Mittelteil (4) ist ein als Auflage während des Fluges des Geschosses für den Unterteil (5) dienender Ansatz (4a) vorgesehen.
  • d) Der Abstand (a) zwischen der Abschlußfläche (3b) und dem Ansatz (4a) ist gleich der Dicke (D) des Unterteiles (5).

In diesem Zwischenstück 10 ist eine zentrale, zylinderförmige Kammer 11 vorgesehen, deren Durchmesser 12 größer ist als der Durchmesser d' des Mittelteiles 4 des Pfropfens. Hierdurch kann sich der Mittelteil 4 des Pfropfens bei der Schußentwicklung ohne Verformung und Störung in die Kammer 11 hineinbewegen. Die Kammern ist mit dem die Treibladung 9 aufnehmenden Teil der Patronenhülse 8 über eine Bohrung 13 verbunden, welche so bemessen ist, daß zwar keine Pulverteilchen, wohl aber hochgespannte Pulvergase während der Dauer der Schu ßentwicklung in die Kammer 11 eindringen können. Dies führt dazu, daß - nachdem das Geschoß die Laufmündung verlassen hat - im Außenbereich der normale Luftdruck herrscht, während in der Kammer 11 des Zwischenstückes 10 ein Überdruck besteht, welcher eine störungsfreie Trennung des Zwischenstückes 10 von dem das Ziel erreichenden Teilen, also dem Bleikopf 1 und dem Pfropfen, sicherstellt.In Figure 5 of the drawing, 8 denotes the cartridge case, in whose lower part the propellant charge 9 is arranged. Dabei überfährt der Mittelteil 4 den Ansatz 4a, der in der Endstellung - in welcher sich der Unterteil 5 gegen die Abschlußfläche 3b des Oberteiles 3a des Pfropfens anlegt - den Unterteil 5 untergreift. Der Bleikopf 1 und der Pfropfen bilden nunmehr eine untrennbare Einheit und bewegen sich auf das anvisierte Ziel, während das eventuell verwendete Zwischenstück 10 kurz hinter der Mündung des Laufes ausgeworfen wird. Claims (6)

1. A cartridge with a shotgun bullet, comprising a lead head (1) with a point and a plug of resilient material connected to the lead head (1) by a plug-in connection and consisting of a top part (3) defined by a bottom end face (3b), a rod-shaped middle part (4) merging into the top part (3), and a bottom part (5) in the form of a flat-topped piston and the top part (3) is formed as a cylindrical stud (3a), characterised In that the stud (3a) completely fills a recess (1 a) in the lead head (1), in that the middle part (4) is connected to the bottom part (5) via a predetermined breaking point (6), in that a projection (4a) is provided on the middle part (4) and acts as a support for the bottom part (5) during the bullet flight and in that the distance (a) between the end face (3b) and the projection (4) is equal to the thickness (D) of the bottom part (5).
2. A cartridge according to claim 1, in which the middle part (4) and the bottom part (5) of the plug are of circular cross-section, characterised in that an annular groove (5a) is provided in the bottom part (5), its diameter (d) being equal to the diameter (d') of the middle part (4).
3. A cartridge according to claim 2, characterised in that the opening of the annular groove (5a) points in the direction away from the upper part (3) and is surrounded by a lip (5b).
4. A cartridge according to claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the lead head (1) is connected to the cylindrical stud (3a) of the upper part (3) via at least one centre punch mark (7).
5. A cartridge according to claims 1 to 4, in which the bottom part of the cartridge case (8) accommodates the propellent charge (9), characterised in that an intermediate member (10) is provided between the bottom part (5) of the plug and the propellent charge (9) and has a central cylindrical chamber (11) whose diameter (12) is larger than the diameter (d') of the middle part (4) of the plug.
6. A cartridge according to claim 5, characterised in that the chamber (11) is connected via a bore (13) to that part of the case (8) which accommodates the propellent charge (9).
