The contact device has at least two contact bodies and at least one lamella body (1a). The lamellar body (1a) has slats (7a-7f) separated by slots (8a-8e) with an arch-shaped central area, which are designed as spatial curves. These lamellae - (7a-7f) have in their end regions a section (6) which is curved in the opposite direction to the arch-shaped central region. At their ends, the lamellae (7a-7f) are also connected to one another by edge strips (4, 5). Furthermore, the slots (8a-8e) extend into the curved section (6). As a result, each lamella (7a-7f) is assigned clearly defined contact points, both locally and in terms of value, both on the curvature of the lamellae (7a-7f) and in their end regions.

Description

The invention relates to an electrical contact device according to the preamble of claim 1, 4 or 7.

Contact devices of this type are known from DE-PS 25 27 681 and DE-AS 14 65 090. The lamellar body is there there by a - e.g. Cylindrical curved or rolled - resiliently flexible band made of electrically conductive material or with a reinforcement made of such material. The web-shaped band sections remaining between the slots form the contact lamellae which protrude in an arc from the band plane or from the cylinder surface and which are electrically connected in their apex region with one contact body and at their end regions on both sides or at the edge zones of the lamellar body running there conductive pressure contact and should ensure safe contact with low electrical transition resistance. A contact force F in the apex area causes a pair of reaction contact forces F / 2 at the two associated contact points of the edge zones.

With high contact current loads and especially with more frequent closing and opening operations, the following problems arise when using such devices:

Under the influence of the contact force F, a defined contact point is formed on the lamella apex, while the contact points on the edge zones on both sides are more or less undefined due to the comparatively large contact with the associated contact body. So it happens that for several contact lamellae at the two edge zones only a single contact point with a comparatively small current-carrying contact surface is formed, which is thus burdened by an excessive current density and possibly. also has an excessive transition resistance.

In addition, there is an increased mechanical susceptibility to wear of the known devices when plugging and disconnecting contact bodies in the form of sockets and plugs, in particular when the same is operated mechanically. The contact points on the apex of the lamellar bodies always slide along the same line on the contact body surface when the contact bodies move relative to one another. The wear of the surface, which is often coated with a special contact material, is therefore concentrated in these surface areas, which can lead to premature destruction of the surface structure and then create the conditions for the formation of oxide layers and for overheating of the contact device.

Here, the invention seeks to remedy the situation and improve the generic contact device in such a way that the disadvantages mentioned do not apply.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a contact device, in which deinstalled contact points for the reaction forces F / 2 occur at the end regions of the contact arms on both sides. Another object of the invention is to uniformize the stress on the contact surfaces and thus to reduce the surface abrasion when plugging and unplugging the contact device or of sockets and plugs.

The main advantages of the invention are the fact that the electrical and mechanical properties of the contact device are improved.

Advantageous and expedient further developments of the invention result from combination with features known per se, as characterized in the dependent claims.

All elements which are not absolutely necessary for the direct understanding of the device according to the invention have been omitted. In the various figures, the same elements are provided with the same reference symbols.

The lamellar body 1 shown in Fig. 1 is made of an electrically highly conductive material, which must also have good spring properties. For example, a Cu / Be alloy could be selected as the material. However, it is also possible to provide the lamellar body 1 made of spring steel and to plate it with electrically highly conductive materials in the region of the contact surfaces. The lamella body 1 has a plurality of lamellae 2a-2f lying next to one another and separated from one another by slots 3a-3e, the width of the latter approximately corresponding to that of the slots 3a-3e. The strip material for producing the lamellar body 1 can in principle have any dimensions, thicknesses and shapes. In a known manner, these parameters will depend on the specified dimension of the contact device and on the underlying electrical characteristic values.

The lamellae 2a-2f are curved and mechanically held together at their ends by edge strips 4,5. The height of the curvature H of the slats 2a-2f designed according to the leaf spring principle is not dependent on the mutual spacing of the slats 2a-2f along the band defined by the width of the slots 3a-3e. This means that it is possible, by appropriately selecting the height of the curvature H, to also overcome larger tolerances between two contact surfaces of contact bodies which are to be electrically connected to one another without the number of lamellae 2a-2f having to be reduced. This is advantageous in that it fully maintains the high current carrying capacity.

In their end regions, the lamellae 2a-2f have sections 6 which are curved in the opposite direction to the arch-shaped central region. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the edge strips 4, 5 are then arranged at such an angle to the lamellae 2a-2f that they lie flat on the contact surface of the lower contact body, not shown.

The contact points between the upper contact body, also not shown, and the fins 2a-2f are located in the middle of the arcuate region of these fins. The contact force F presses there, while the reaction forces F / 2 act on the left and right edge strips 4, 5. Because the slits 3a-3e extend beyond the curved section 6 to the edge strips 4, 5, the stiffness inherent in this section is naturally overcome, so that the contact points in the plane of the reaction forces F / 2 have defined values whose Reusability is guaranteed with every mating process. In this way, each lamella 2a-2f is assigned clearly defined contact points in terms of location and value, both in the plane of the contact force F and where the reaction forces F / 2 act. This ensures that the electrical contact between the individual parts of the contact device according to the invention is optimally produced. Each lamella 2a-2f namely forms an autonomous current bridge with uniform electrical characteristic numbers, as a result of which the contact resistance of the contact device as a whole can be considerably reduced.

Bezugszeichen 12a in Fig. 1). Bezugszeichen 12b in Fig. 1). The edge strips 4, 5 can be provided with recesses 12, the outer edges of which each extend into the curved section 6 of a lamella 2a-2f (cf. reference number 12a in FIG. 1). However, it is also conceivable that these recesses 12 each merely extend in the direction of the curved section 6 of a lamella 2a-2f, but not into it (see reference number 12b in FIG. 1). With these measures it is achieved that said contact points can also lie in the area of the edge strips 4, 5.

Fig. 2 shows a lamellar body 1a in a sleeve-like shape, in which mechanical and electrical improvements are sought. As already mentioned in connection with the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the mechanical improvements originate from the fact that the slots 8a-8e extend beyond the curved section 6 up to the edge strips 4, 5. The further measure, according to which the lamellae 7a-7f are designed as spatial curves, the shape of which is determined by the curved punching out of the slots 8a-8e, has the consequence that each contact point during the insertion process in each case along the associated lamellae 7a-7f and the corresponding one Contact surface of the contact body moves. The curved lines of the slats 7a-7f and the slits 8a-8e also result in a kind of screw or winch effect during the plug-in process, which has the effect that the sleeve-like lamellar body 1a can be inserted more easily into the plug-in holder. In this way it is avoided that the contact points of the lamellae 7a-7f always touch the same contact lines on the counter-contact surface. The full extent of the mating contact surface is thus used, with the result that the surface abrasion responsible for oxidation and overheating of the entire contact is minimized. '

Analogously to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the edge strips 4, 5 can in turn have recesses 12, each of which extends from the outer edges thereof either into the curved section 6 of a lamella 7a-7f or not quite as far as this section (see reference numerals 12a and 12b in Fig. 2). With regard to the effects that can be achieved with these measures, what has already been said above in connection with the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 applies.

Their edge strips 4, 5 have recesses 12 in the form of slots 9 (FIG. 3) or a trapezoidal toothing 10 (FIG. 4). As a result, increased contact points are created in the area of the edge strips 4.5, which contributes to improving the electrical contacts in this area. Of course, the recesses 12 can also have different geometric shapes than those just mentioned.

Die Schlitze 3a-3e laufen auch dreiecksförmig aus.FIG. 5 shows a lamellar body 1 which is similar to that according to FIG. 1. Here, the edge strips 4, 5 have recesses 12 in the form of triangular teeth 11. The slots 3a-3e also run out triangular.

Bezugszeichen 12c in Fig. 6). The lamellar body 1 shown in FIG. 6 is very similar to that according to FIG. 1. An essential difference, however, is that here the curved sections 6 are not in the end regions of the slats 2a-2f (as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1), but rather form part of the edge strips 4, 5. It follows that the slits 3a-3e do not extend into these curved sections 6. In order to meet the requirement of clearly defined contact points, it is therefore essential to provide the edge strips 4, 5 with recesses 12. These can be arranged as desired, so they do not necessarily have to be aligned with the slots 3a-3e (as shown in FIG. 6). They extend from the outer edges of the edge strips 4, 5 into the curved section 6, but can also end before this (cf. reference number 12c in FIG. 6). On the basis of the requirement mentioned above, in the latter case it must of course be ensured that the contact points lie within the partial sections of the edge strips 4, 5 which contain the recesses 12. In the case of relatively short recesses 12, the contact points should accordingly be in the vicinity of the outer edges of the edge strips 4, 5. This can be achieved by means of targeted measures in the structural design of the lamellar body 1 and the contact body. The recesses 12 can in turn have any geometrical shapes, but in particular can be designed according to FIGS. 3-5.

Fig. 7 und 9). The lamellar body 1 disclosed in FIG. 7 also has a certain similarity to that shown in FIG. 1. In contrast to the previously described lamellar bodies, however, this has no curved sections 6. In order to form clearly defined contact points, it is also essential under these circumstances that the edge strips contain 4.5 recesses 12. These can in turn be rectangular or have the shape of a triangular or trapezoidal toothing or any other geometrical shape. Furthermore, their arrangement is basically arbitrary, which means that they do not necessarily have to be aligned with the slots 3a-3e (as shown in FIG. 7). The edge strips 4, 5 of the lamellar body 1 according to FIG. 7 are approximately flat (cf. FIGS. 7 and 9). However, this is by no means mandatory. In principle, the end regions of the lamellae 2a-2f and the edge strips 4.5 can have any shape, in particular that shown in FIG. 8, as long as (for reasons mentioned above) it is ensured that the contact points within the partial sections of the edge strips 4,5 lie, which contain the recesses 12 (cf. the section provided with the reference symbol B in FIGS. 8 and 9).

Diesbezüglich besteht also keine Einschränkung. The exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 6 and 7 are based on lamellar bodies 1 which are similar to that according to FIG. 1. Although not shown in the drawing, the invention naturally also includes lamellar bodies in the form of a sleeve 1 a (see FIGS. 2-4), which are designed analogously with respect to these exemplary embodiments. There is no restriction in this regard.
