Abstract

The invention relates to a safety lock with key. The serrated washer (21) interacting with the serrated strips (17) of the barrel (12) for absorbing the angular stresses exerted on said barrel by the wrong key is no longer fixed, but is loosely mounted angularly and non-axially in relation to the case (11) of the lock, and it is stressed elastically at rest towards a stable position by a spring (34). When the torque exerted on the washer by the wrong key exceeds a predetermined threshold, the serrated washer is driven in rotation, and this rotation is converted into axial displacements of a lug (20) mounted slideably in the barrel and capable of cooperating with a slot (8) made in the lock actuator (6). This conversion is ensured by the interaction of at least one V-shaped tooth (27) located on a collar (26) blocked angularly, but free to move axially in relation to the case with a notch (25) made in a ring (24) fixed to the washer. The axial displacements of the collar (26) are converted into oppositely directed axial displacements of the lug (20) by means of a rocker (31). <IMAGE>
