Beim Färben von Cellulose mit Schwefelfarbstoffen werden die Naßechtheiten der Färbungen dadurch verbessert, daß die Cellulose vor, während oder nach dem Färbevorgang mit einem Polymerisat behandelt wird, das 16 2/3 bis 100 Mol-% einer Verbindung der Formel I in einpolymerisierter Form enthält, worin R¹, R² z.B. Wasserstoff; (C₁-C₂₂)Alkyl;

Y⊖ z.B. ein einwertiges Anion
bedeuten.
