Description

TECHNISCHES GEBIETTECHNICAL AREA

The invention relates to a seam ironing place for ironing fabric seams using steam, consisting of a stand with a blower, an attached suction bar, the bracket support is a circumferential in its extent, controllable in its direction of rotation, one above the bar also on the stand attached upper spar, a molded body arranged in the upper spar, which can be lowered towards the conveyor belt, with a heatable steam chamber that can be connected to a steam generator, a shaped pressure plate that closes the steam chamber on its underside with steam outlet openings, a controllable fabric seam threading device at the free end of the upper spar, and a strap spar over the fabric seam. Threading device also extends the receiving spar.

STAND DER TECHNIKSTATE OF THE ART

Seaming places of this type are known, for example, from the literature reference US Pat. No. 3,107,447. Their job is to significantly reduce the time it takes to iron seams, especially when making garments in connection with ironing.

As practice shows, with high demands on a perfect and clean ironing of such fabric seams there are extraordinary difficulties in automating this process. These difficulties are due in particular to the fact that the material to be processed is of extremely wide variety in terms of its properties and its nature and, as a result, the proper pulling in of the material in its seam region between the bow spar and the upper spar is more or less dependent on the type and thickness of the fabric well, at least not always satisfactorily.

From the literature reference GB-PS 143.657 a seam ironing place of the aforementioned type is also known, in which the material to be ironed is not moved in between the bars on a conveyor belt, but with the aid of a clamp which can be moved along the bars and fastened to the bar and which grips the fabric on the edge , is drawn in.

Apart from the fact that such a pull-in device only allows relatively slow working cycle times and, in addition, a machined fabric part has to be removed from the bow bar practically by hand, a perfect pull-in of the fabric parts is not guaranteed because the fabric moves very easily on the bow bar shifted one or the other side and then a perfect result when ironing out the seam cannot be achieved.

OFFENBARUNG DER ERFINDUNGDISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

The invention has for its object to provide a solution for a seam ironing for automatic ironing of fabric seams that regardless of the type of fabric and the thickness of the fabric always a perfect fast pulling in between the handlebar and the upper spar and always flawless quick removal of the fabric the gap between the handlebar and the upper handle after performing the ironing process.

Starting from a seam ironing place of the type mentioned at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in claim 1.

The invention is based on the knowledge that just by the combination of a conveyor belt on which the fabric is moved in and out between the spars, in conjunction with a fabric edge holder which holds the fabric introduced into the fabric threading device on the edge and the movement of the Conveyor belt participates, is achieved in an extremely advantageous manner that different static friction between the material and the top of the conveyor belt and depending on the fabric thickness fluctuating friction resistances between the fabric and the fabric threading device practically no influence on the exact guidance of the fabric between the bars can exercise. In addition, the additional clamping of the fabric edge in the period of a movement between the spars enables significantly higher travel speeds that shorten a work cycle.

Advantageous embodiments of the fabric edge holder are specified in claims 2 to 4.

In a further development of the invention, in the further claims 6 to 8 an advantageous embodiment of the holding spar on the one hand and the lifting device for the up-down movement of the compression plate on the other hand are specified, which in addition to rapid insertion of the material between the spars also support rapid ejection of the ironed material and also take into account curved fabric seams.

In another development, an advantageous embodiment of the fabric threading device is specified in the further claims 9 to 13, which is not only quickly adaptable to different fabric thicknesses, but also ensures fast and always safe threading of the fabric to be ironed with regard to its fabric seam.

The stand 1 opens into a stand head 5, to which a stirrup bar 6 is fastened with a receiving spar 7 which extends at its free end and is slightly curved downwards, and an upper bar 8 arranged above it. The upper spar 8 carries at its free end a fabric seam threading device 9 which is to be described in more detail in connection with FIGS. 5 to 7 and to which an air nozzle 9a which is oriented substantially downwards at the front is assigned. Furthermore, the height of the upper spar 8, which is indicated on the stand head 5, as indicated by the double arrow, is adjustable. The upper spar 8 is open at the bottom and contains a molded body 10 provided with its electric heater, the steam chamber 11 of which is open at the bottom and is closed by a molded plate 13. This compression plate has steam openings 12 in the form of a row of holes. The heated compression body 10, including the steam chamber 11, is surrounded with a heat insulation layer 14 against the upper spar 8, and is displaceably arranged in the vertical direction in the upper spar 8 by means of a lifting device in the form of a pressure cylinder (16) attached to the upper spar.

The bracket 6 designed as a suction pan is equipped with a conveyor belt 17, which rotates in the extension of the bracket 6 via a drive roller 18, a rotating roller 19 and a pressure roller 20 arranged in the vicinity of the drive roller 18, and on the top of the bracket in connection with a silicone - Rubber pad forms the bracket pad on the top of the bracket 6.

On the conveyor belt 17, a fabric edge holder 21 is provided in its basic working position immediately behind the fabric threading device 9, which takes part in the movement of the conveyor belt 17 when the fabric is being pulled in or out and clamps the fabric at its front edge against the conveyor belt.

For the supply of water vapor into the steam chamber 11 of the molded body 10 in the region of the upper beam 8, a magnetic valve 22 is arranged on the stator head 5 at an appropriate height, which is connected to the steam generator 24 via a hose line 23. The steam generator 24 does not have to be firmly connected to the stand base 2 of the stand 1, as indicated in FIG. Rather, it can also be set up freely. The blower 25, which is connected to the suction trough of the stirrup member 6 via a line (not shown in detail), is firmly connected to the stand 1 or its base. 1 also shows a compressed air generator 30, which feeds compressed air via magnetic valves 22a and 22b to the receiving spar 7 and the fabric seam threading device 9.

As further shown in FIG. 1, a holding bracket 26 is pivotally arranged on the stand head 5, specifically on the upper side thereof, at the free end of which the control operating unit 27 is fastened in the region of the fabric threading device 9. The control operating unit 27 has a number of operating buttons 28, by means of which the desired cycle times for a seam ironing process can be set. The control and operating unit 27 also contains the electronics for the control of the blower 25, the solenoid valves 22, 22a and 22b, the pressure cylinder 16 of the lifting device, the fabric seam threading device 9, the controllable fabric edge holder 21 and the drive for the conveyor belt 17th

For starting and interrupting a work cycle, there is also a foot switch 29 on the floor next to the stand base 2 of the stand 1, which is connected to the control operating unit 27 via a cable 29 a guided in the stand 1 and in the retaining bracket 26.

The seam stirrup workstation according to FIG. 1 shows only one stirrup-top stile combination on the stand 1. It should be noted, however, that in view of an optimal workplace design it is useful to provide two such stile combinations next to each other at a predetermined distance on the stand 1, which are alternately used by one operator can be loaded with material to be ironed out with regard to its seam. The steam generator 24, the blower 25 and the compressed air generator 30 can be assigned to both spar arrangements together.

As can be seen in more detail in the detail of the receiving spar 7 according to FIG. 1 in FIG. 2, this is designed as a tube 7a which opens out into a bow-shaped end at its free end.

In order to keep the sliding friction over the receiving spar 7 as small as possible when the fabric material ironed out with regard to its seam, the cavity of the tube 7a is connected to the compressed air generator 30 and has air openings 7b on the upper side of the tube, which are inclined upwards to the free end of the receiving spar 7 are aligned and through which blown air flows out against the material when the material is ejected.

Like the side layer of the fabric edge holder 21 according to FIG. 3 and the top view of the fabric edge neck ter 21 according to Figure 4, this has a base plate 31 which is fastened to the conveyor belt 17 with rivets 32.

The base plate 31 projects over the conveyor belt 17 on both sides and has in this area ends that are angled upwards, to each of which one of the drive cylinders 35 is fastened on both sides.

On the front, the fabric edge holder 21 is assigned a fabric stop edge 33 which is oriented perpendicular to the direction of movement of the conveyor belt 17 and over which at least two clamping fingers 34 overlap. The clamping fingers 34 are fastened to a bracket 34 a spanning the conveyor belt 17 and clamp the fabric to be ironed out up to the fabric stop edge 33 through the fabric seam threading device 9 against the conveyor belt 17. The actuation of the bracket 34a with the clamping fingers 34 takes place with the aid of the drive cylinders 35, by means of which a linear horizontal movement via a linkage 36 connected to the ends of the bracket 34a is converted into a movement of the bracket 34a rotatable about a horizontal axis with the clamping fingers 34 .

The fabric stop edge 33 is expediently part of the base plate 31, so that it can be removed from its special attachment to the conveyor belt.

The fabric seam threading device 9 shown in FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 in front view, side view and top view consists of the lifting cylinder 37 and a guide body 38 which receives the actual fabric seam threading device. The lifting cylinder 37 is on the underside via its piston rod 39 firmly connected to the guide body 38. The underside of the lifting cylinder 37 merges into an annular flange 37a, with which it engages in an opening 40 in the wall 41 of the upper spar and is screwed against it by means of the ring nut 42.

The guide body 38 has a head plate 43 which is connected to a foot plate 46 via two mutually parallel spacer bushings 44 and 45. The connection between the head plate 43 and the foot plate 46 via the spacer bushings 44 and 45 can, as shown in the front view of the fabric seam threading device 9 shown in FIG. 5, take place by means of screws 47.

On the underside of the guide body 38 there is a block-shaped seam fold 49 provided with a cross bolt 48, which is attached to the lower end of a guide bolt 51. The guide pin 51 is guided in a bore (not shown in detail) in the base plate 46, protrudes with its upper end through the base plate 46 and merges at this end into a lifting head 52. With this lifting head, the guide pin is connected to an eccentric 53, which is part of the adjusting device 54. The eccentric 53 is in this case fastened to the end of a horizontal axis 55 which is rotatably held in a bearing attachment 56 fastened to the footplate and has an adjusting knob 55a at its other end which projects forward from the guide body. By turning the adjusting knob 55a and thus by turning the eccentric 53, depending on the design of the eccentric disk, a continuous or gradual height adjustment of the seam fold 50 against the pressure of the compression spring 57 can be brought about. The compression spring 57 is mounted in the guide bolt 51 and is supported with its ends against the upper side of the seam fold 49 on the one hand and the underside of the foot plate 56 on the other hand.

The block-shaped seam fold 49 merges into a keel 50 on its front side, which in turn opens into a seam separating sword 50a. A runner-shaped fabric side guide 58 is assigned to the seam separating sword 50a on both sides. Each of the fabric seam side guides 58 is connected via a connecting leg 59 to a bearing plate 60 which is guided displaceably at its lower end in a bore 61 on the cross bolt 48. Furthermore, the bearing plates 60 have a wedge head 62 on their upper side, the downward sloping surface of which is aligned with the seam fold 49. With this wedge head 62, the two bearing plates 60 on both sides of the seam flap 49 are slidably guided in the side in correspondingly shaped keyways 63 of the foot plate 46 in the vertical direction. In this way it is achieved that with a vertical relative movement of the seam fold 49 with the help of the adjusting device 54 an opposite horizontal spreading movement of the fabric side guides 58 is carried out at the same time. When designing the sliding surfaces of the wedge head 62 of the bearing plates 60 in the keyways 63 at an angle of 45 ° , it is ensured that the ratio of a predetermined change in the distance of the seam fold 49 relative to the guide body 38 always results in the same horizontal change in distance of a fabric side guide 58 relative to the seam separating sword 50a. The adjusting device 54 thus makes it possible, in a desirable manner, to quickly adapt the fabric seam threading device 9 to different fabric thicknesses with one movement.

The opposite horizontal movement of the fabric seam side guides 58, which is carried out as a function of a vertical movement of the seam fold 49 relative to the guide body 38, takes place against the force of the tension spring 64, which connects the two bearing plates 60 to one another. The mounting of the tension spring 64 on the bearing plate side is carried out in such a way that the ends of the tension spring 64 each protrude through a bore 65 in the central part of the bearing plates 60 and are each held in a split pin 66 on the outside of the bearing plates 60.

As can be seen from the top view of the fabric seam threading device 9 in FIG. 7, the seam separating sword 50b projects with its sword tip beyond the free ends of the fabric seam side guides 58 and points, as the side view of the fabric seam threading device 9 according to FIG. 6 shows , a leading edge sloping downwards. In addition, the runner-shaped fabric side guides 58 are tapered at their free ends on the side of the seam separating sword 50a. It is thereby achieved in an extremely advantageous manner that the manual threading of the fabric seam of the fabric to be ironed in its fabric seam can always be carried out easily and quickly.

During the threading process of the fabric seam of a material to be ironed out in the fabric seam and during the pulling in of the fabric after it is clamped in the fabric edge holder 21 by means of the conveyor belt 17 between the bracket and the upper spar, the fabric seam threading device 9 is located directly above the conveyor belt 17 in a through the material thickness of the specified distance to be processed.

Furthermore, that of the molded body 10 in the upper beam 8 is in its first rest position, in which the underside of its molded plate 13 has a distance of approximately 5 mm from the conveyor belt 17. This ensures that the fabric seam folded over when passing through the fabric threading device 9 cannot straighten up again during the pulling in between the bars. After performing the ironing process, in which the compression body 13 is lowered onto the fabric lying on the conveyor belt 17, the compression body 10 is raised to its second rest position, in which it is located with the underside of its compression plate 13 about 15 mm above the conveyor belt. Simultaneously and possibly also in advance, the guide body 38, which represents the actual fabric threading device, is moved upwards with the aid of the lifting cylinder 37 so that the fabric seam threading device cannot hinder the ejection of the fabric material ironed in its seam. At the same time, the second rest position of the molded body 10 ensures that the ironed-out material to be ejected finds a relatively large space of movement between the bars. As has already been pointed out, the ejection of the ironed material is additionally promoted by blown air from the air openings 7b on the top of the receiving spar 7.
