Claims (8)

1. Composite stopper for a metal container or similar, comprising a plastic closure (4) whose side wall (6) has a flange (8) fitted on top, bearing on the rim of the orifice to be sealed, characterised in that it incorporates, inside this closure (4), a metal cap (12) whose periphery (18, 20) is held tightly against the lid (9) of the closure and against its cylindrical side wall (6), and which is firmly attached to the latter.
2. Composite stopper as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the side wall (6) of the plastic closure incorporates an internal rib (22) for clamping a cylindrical rim (20) of the metal cap.
3. Composite stopper as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the metal cap (12) incorporates a cylindrical rim (24) which extends over the top part of the flange (8) and is crimped onto the latter.
4. Composite stopper as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the central part of the metal cap (12) is in the shape of a cylinder (14) whose top (16) projects slightly with respect to the top of the closure flange.
5. Composite stopper as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the side wall (6) of the closure (4) incorporates a skirt (10) which enters into the orifice to be sealed, below the lid (9).
6. Composite stopper as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that in plan view it has a circular shape.
7. Composite stopper as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the flange (8) of the closure incorporates at least one notch in its lower part.
8. Composite stopper as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that the flange (8) incorporates a shoulder (26) which bears against the rim of the orifice to be sealed.
