Definitions

  • the invention is based on a safe according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a safe with an input drum is known from DE-A-2 433 926.
  • the drum has a continuous input pocket.
  • the drum is turned into the value compartment in such a way that an object previously placed in the compartment slips backwards out of the input compartment into the value compartment.
  • This type of input tray makes it possible, e.g. to insert a gripper on a thin cable over the continuously trained compartment into the valuable compartment. If the gripper is closed around a deposited object, it can be withdrawn into the input compartment, where it can be illegally removed from the input compartment after the drum has rotated.
  • the drum is surrounded by armored walls, but not armored itself. It is therefore the weakest link, especially since it has no continuous axis due to the input compartment arranged in the middle of the drum.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to create a safe with an input drum which also has a resistance value corresponding to the remaining armor of the safe in the area of the input.
  • the input device designed as an insert is adapted in all parts to the resistance value of the safe housing surrounding it.
  • FIG. 1 shows a safe 1 in vertical section.
  • An input device 10 is integrated into the armor 2 of the actual safe with a safe deposit box 4 and armored door 3. This is accessible from the outside via an input opening 6, which is closed by a relatively weakly armored door 7.
  • This safe 1 is e.g. B. built into the outer wall of a bank or savings bank as a night safe so that late customers outside the opening hours of the bank or savings bank in a known manner have access to the input device 10 by opening the door 7, via which they can store the amounts of money, securities held in suitable cassettes etc. can be safely deposited in safe deposit box 4 of safe 1.
  • a smaller rectangular recess 5 with a stepped transition is provided above the value compartment 4, which corresponds exactly to the dimensions of the input device 10 designed as an insert. This is inserted into the recess 5 from below via the value compartment 4 and is firmly connected to the armor 2 from the inside via screws 11 on the longitudinally extending jaws 13 of the input device 10 by means of screws 11.
  • the input device 10 consists of a drum 17 and two symmetrical, mirror images of bearing parts 12, in which the axis 16 of the drum 17 is freely rotatable.
  • the bearing parts 12 extend over the entire height of the input device 10. In the axial direction they have a recess 14 which is concentric with the bearing bore and which has a somewhat larger diameter than the drum 17.
  • the bearing parts 12 are firmly connected to one another via the jaws 13 running parallel to the drum 17. They end flush at the bottom surface of the input opening 6 and are cut out in a circular arc on the inside corresponding to the recesses 14 in the bearing parts 12.
  • the length of the jaws 13 is such that the ends of the drum 17 protrude into the recesses 14 of the bearing parts 12 in the assembled state of the input device 10 except for a play which ensures the rotatability.
  • the depth of the recesses 14 is preferably selected so that the overlapping part of the bearing parts 12 only leaves the drum 17 in the width of a chamber 18 open to the outside for receiving a cash cassette (shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1) (FIG. 2).
  • the drum 17 is mounted in the parts 12 in such a way that the chamber 18 in the illustrated rest position of the drum 17 is offset parallel to the center line above the region of the drum axis 16. In this position, the cassette contact surface of the chamber 18 lies on one level with the bottom surface of the input opening 6. In order to keep the chamber depth small, it is designed for transverse insertion of a cash cassette.
  • the shown rest position of the drum 17 is determined by the engagement of a handle 19 on the drum 17 on a stationary stop plate 15 which is arranged above the recesses 14 between the bearing parts 12.
  • the center of gravity S of the drum 17 is z. B. shifted from one side by reinforcement massaged in such a way that it always assumes the stated rest position.
  • the above-described safe 1 works as follows: To deposit a cash box in the safe deposit box 4 of the safe, the door 7 has to be opened and the cash box has to be inserted transversely into the chamber 18. Then the drum 17 can be rotated 90 ° counterclockwise via the handle 19. As a result, the chamber 18 is brought into the position 18 'indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 1, in which the previously inserted cash cassette falls directly into the value compartment 4. When the handle 19 is released, the drum 17 automatically returns to the rest position.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 show one possibility.
  • the door 7, which is pivotably mounted about a hinge 8 has on the inside a protruding part 9 which is so long that it projects into the chamber 18 of the drum 17 when the door 7 is closed. If the cash cassette remains in the chamber 18, the door cannot be closed.
  • the part 9 protruding from the inside of the door 7 can be a hindrance when operating the input device 10. For this reason, it is advisable to monitor the chamber 18 by means of a light barrier.
  • a light transmitter and a light receiver are embedded in the bearing parts 12 in the pivoting range of the chamber 18 at opposite points.
  • the drum 17 has small bores in the lateral chamber walls in alignment with this light barrier. When the drum 17 returns to the rest position, light must fall at least temporarily through the holes in the drum from the transmitter to the receiver when the chamber 18 is empty. If this does not occur, an effective lock after each opening of the door 7 is not released and the door cannot be closed.
  • the light barrier should preferably be arranged such that it monitors the chamber 18 in the rest position. This can prevent a customer from accidentally forgetting to turn the drum 17 after inserting a cassette before closing the door 7 again.
  • the above-described compact safe 1 can also be used in all cases where a secure landfill of large amounts of money is necessary on the spot. This is e.g. B. in the case of checkouts, the checkout is generally limited to a certain value. Even for sales drivers who have daily sales in the order of several tens of thousands of marks, the use of the safe 1 described above contributes to a considerable reduction in the security risk.
