Abstract

A string 20 for a musical instrument is formed, at its end for attachment to a tuning peg, to provide a pin portion 32 that is stiffened to resist bending. Desirably the pin portion 32 is formed to have a slightly larger diameter than the remainder of the string 20, is adapted to be received freely and snugly in a transverse hole in the tuning peg and has a length substan­ tially no greater than the length of the hole in the tuning peg.
