Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to articulated panels for closing doors or openings with vertical deployment and folding vertically in accordion with horizontal folds in the upper part of the openings to be closed where they are suspended.
These articulated panels are used in known manner to isolate or obscure openings inside or outside of industrial buildings. They must be easy to use, be able to withstand wind, and be waterproof to prevent significant heat loss.
Hinged panels of this type are known, comprising a veil made of at least one flexible sheet material, opaque or at least partially transparent, and comprising, regularly distributed over the height of the deployed panel, metal profiles dividing the panel into sections horizontal and forming hinges between them when the panel is folded. Going up, by a system of cables or straps and winch, the lowest profile, we gradually drive the other intermediate profiles as the panel opens, which can thus fold completely accordion in the top of the opening. Although ensuring the bending rigidity required for the panel, metal profiles pose a certain number of problems essentially due to their weight, having regard, moreover, to the poor mechanical strength of the panel web generally consisting of a film of plastic material with a thickness of less than 1 millimeter. Whatever the techniques used to mount the metal profiles on the veil, an acute problem arises when one wants to make closure panels for large openings, in this case greater than 6 meters, or very large widths, greater than 10 meters. Indeed, on such widths, to maintain their rigidity, the metal profiles, even made on the form of tubes, must have a significant thickness, which results in a unit weight of the profile becoming very large, greater than 10 kg. Profiles of this length tend to buckle downwards, thus causing very severe stresses on the material of the panel veil, which can fairly quickly tear the latter.
The object of the present invention is precisely to propose an arrangement of articulated panel, of particularly simple configuration, suitable for the production of very wide panels, by eliminating the problems posed by the weight of the transverse profiles.
To do this, according to a characteristic of the present invention, the articulated panel with vertical deployment, comprising a veil made of at least one flexible sheet material, several elongated, rigid, parallel hinge elements, attached to the veil and distributed over the height of the panel, and controllable means for lifting and lowering the panel, comprises at least one pair of elongated flexible traction elements, suspended from the upper part of the opening, extending vertically along one face of the veil and each made integral with the various elongated transverse hinge elements.
Thanks to this arrangement, which does not result in the cost price of the panel, the rigid elongate hinge elements or transverse tubes are in fact supported by the flexible traction elements, advantageously produced in the form of woven straps.
This arrangement thus makes it possible to envisage any type of association between the transverse hinge elements and the panel veil, in particular making it possible to simplify the structure of the latter as much as possible.
In a particular embodiment of the present invention, the elongated flexible traction elements or straps comprise loops in which are simply threaded the elongated hinge elements or transverse tubes. Thanks to this arrangement, it is possible to make the transverse tubes integral with the veil by arranging the latter so that it too forms sheaths for receiving the transverse tubes.
The particularly simple structure of the articulated panel according to the invention thus makes it possible to separate the functions of concealing the opening, reserved for the veil, and for supporting and actuating the panel, reserved for the transverse hinge tubes, with the flexible traction elements. supporting these tubes and to the lifting means, so that, in the event of damage to the web, it can be easily replaced without having to discard the entire panel.

- Figure 2 is a partial perspective view of a first embodiment of the invention;
- Figure 3 is an identical partial perspective view of another embodiment of the invention;
- FIG. 4 schematically represents, in vertical section, an embodiment of a tube support sheath for a veil with a single thickness;
- Figure 5 is a schematic view s, in vertical section of a veil consisting of two adjoining fabrics defining between them sleeves for the transverse tubes and pockets for filling strips; and
- Figures 6 to 8 show alternative embodiments of loops formed by the flexible traction elements for supporting the transverse tubes.
In Figure 1, we recognize the general arrangement of a hinged opening closure panel with vertical deployment, comprising an
According to the present invention, the panel further comprises at least two (typically four or six) vertical
In the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2, the elongated
In the embodiment of FIG. 3, the transverse rigid elongate hinge elements are constituted by the assembly of two tubular half-
In accordance with one aspect of the invention, and as shown in FIGS. 2, 4 and 5, taking into account the fact that most of the weight of the
