Description

The invention relates to an infrared radiation system with ceramic radiators, which are surrounded by reflectors. Such systems, as they form the subject of the applicant's German patent 20 52 304, have for each ceramic radiator one whose dimensions are adapted reflector that surrounds the radiator on one side. Depending on the heating power required, the electric radiators and the associated reflectors are of different sizes, which necessitates a relatively large inventory for the various types of infrared radiation systems. In addition, with the known radiators and reflectors, difficulties arise in large-area systems, in particular in the case of workpiece surfaces deviating from a flat surface.

The object of the invention is to remedy these shortcomings and to provide an infrared radiation system which can be adapted in the simplest manner to the heating outputs required and to the most varied geometries of the irradiation goods, without extensive storage being necessary.

This is achieved according to the invention in that reflectors are used which are provided at their edges with hinge members, joints or the like and which can be connected to one another by means of supporting or connecting bolts. The hinge parts or joints or the like enable a connection of several reflectors. On the other hand, the hinge parts for receiving support elements which extend over a plurality of reflectors such as rods, pipes or the like. Set up, so that special supporting structures can be saved when assembling larger systems. For reasons of easier storage, uniform or similar emitters and reflectors are preferably used.

According to the invention, the reflector used extends over several radiators and has adjacent connections for the optional attachment of a number of radiators corresponding to the heating effect to be achieved.

The radiators are particularly advantageously rod-shaped or rectangular in shape, the radiators being arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the reflector or also transversely thereto in the reflector.

The radiators are expediently provided with supports in the end area for fastening in the reflector and the power connections are laid at the ends of the radiators.

  • Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht auf einen zur Aufnahme von beispielsweise drei Heizkörpern geeigneten Reflektor;
  • Fig. 2 einen Schnitt des Reflektors gemäß Fig. 1, bestückt mit zwei keramischen Heizkörpern;
  • Fig. 3 die perspektivische Ansicht eines Reflektors mit drei darin untergebrachten keramischen Heizkörpern;
  • Fig. 4 eine schematische Darstellung der gelenkigen Verbindung mehrerer Reflektoren mit den Tragbolzen;
  • Fig. 5 bis 7 Draufsicht, Seitenansicht und Ansicht von unten eines keramischen Heizkörpers, wie er vorzugsweise.bei den erfindungsgemäßen Anlagen zur Verwendung gelangt;
  • Fig. 8 ein Bestückungsbeispiel einer aus zwölf Reflektoren bestehenden Strahlungsfläche;
The concept of the invention is shown in the drawings as follows, namely:
  • Figure 1 is a plan view of a reflector suitable for receiving, for example, three radiators.
  • FIG. 2 shows a section of the reflector according to FIG. 1, equipped with two ceramic radiators;
  • 3 shows the perspective view of a reflector with three ceramic radiators accommodated therein;
  • Figure 4 is a schematic representation of the articulated connection of several reflectors with the support bolts.
  • Fig. 5 to 7 top view, side view and bottom view of a ceramic radiator, as it is preferably used in the systems according to the invention;
  • F ig. 8 shows an example of equipment for a radiation surface consisting of twelve reflectors;
  • 9 to 16 are schematic representations of infrared radiation systems from reflectors according to the invention and radiators for various purposes.

Außerdem sind am Rand Durchbohrungen 5 vorgesehen für das Hindurchführen von an den Heizkörpern 4 vorgesehenen Stromzuleitungen 6 (Fig. 1).1 and 2, a reflector is shown, which advantageously consists of high-gloss stainless steel. The reflector is shaped in such a way that a correspondingly wide back part 1 adjoins inclined walls 2 on both sides, 1 groups of holes 3a, 3b or 3c being provided in the back part for the optional installation of electric radiators to be described later Bores 5 provided for the passage of current leads 6 provided on the radiators 4 (FIG. 1).

Finally, the reflector has 2 bushings 7 on the longitudinal edges of the parts, which are intended for receiving joint or support bolts 8. The sockets 7 are offset and arranged at such a distance from one another that a further reflector with its hinge bushes can be inserted between them and in this way a hinge-like connection of several reflectors is produced.

Of course, it is also possible to use support rods or the like in the bushings 7, which allow several reflectors to be constructed one behind the other in a simple manner to form a system.

As already mentioned, several ceramic radiators 4 can be accommodated next to one another in a reflector just described, depending on how large the heating output to be achieved should be. Then, for example, one, two or three radiators 4 are attached next to each other or on one of the connections 3.a, 3b or 3c.

With the reflector design shown, it is possible without difficulty to provide any number of reflectors side by side and one behind the other, which are then connected to one another by the hinge and can adapt to the particular need or to the shape of the surface of the workpiece W to be heated, as is the case Fig. 9 to 16 show schematically.

The design of the ceramic radiators used is of particular advantage. As can be seen particularly in FIGS. 5 to 7, these have a slender, noisy, rectangular shape, the heating conductors 10 embedded in the ceramic body having the course shown in dashed lines in FIG. 7 and into those provided at the ends of the ceramic body 4 Override power supply lines 6.

On the other hand, the radiators are not provided with a fastening piece in the middle, as was customary hitherto, but instead they have supports 9 made of ceramic mass in the end region, through which a fastening wire 11 is passed, for example. Because of the length of the ceramic body two such supports 9 are provided on the back. When the radiators are optionally installed in the reflector, the fastening wires 11 are passed through the bores 3a, 3b or 3c and twisted together on the back of the reflector. The power supply lines 6, however, are passed through the bores 5 and connected to terminals on the rear of the reflector.
