Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an infrared radiation system with ceramic radiators, which are surrounded by reflectors. Such systems, as they form the subject of the applicant's German patent 20 52 304, have for each ceramic radiator one whose dimensions are adapted reflector that surrounds the radiator on one side. Depending on the heating power required, the electric radiators and the associated reflectors are of different sizes, which necessitates a relatively large inventory for the various types of infrared radiation systems. In addition, with the known radiators and reflectors, difficulties arise in large-area systems, in particular in the case of workpiece surfaces deviating from a flat surface.
The object of the invention is to remedy these shortcomings and to provide an infrared radiation system which can be adapted in the simplest manner to the heating outputs required and to the most varied geometries of the irradiation goods, without extensive storage being necessary.
This is achieved according to the invention in that reflectors are used which are provided at their edges with hinge members, joints or the like and which can be connected to one another by means of supporting or connecting bolts. The hinge parts or joints or the like enable a connection of several reflectors. On the other hand, the hinge parts for receiving support elements which extend over a plurality of reflectors such as rods, pipes or the like. Set up, so that special supporting structures can be saved when assembling larger systems. For reasons of easier storage, uniform or similar emitters and reflectors are preferably used.
According to the invention, the reflector used extends over several radiators and has adjacent connections for the optional attachment of a number of radiators corresponding to the heating effect to be achieved.
The radiators are particularly advantageously rod-shaped or rectangular in shape, the radiators being arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the reflector or also transversely thereto in the reflector.
The radiators are expediently provided with supports in the end area for fastening in the reflector and the power connections are laid at the ends of the radiators.

Außerdem sind am Rand Durchbohrungen 5 vorgesehen für das Hindurchführen von an den Heizkörpern 4 vorgesehenen Stromzuleitungen 6 (Fig. 1).1 and 2, a reflector is shown, which advantageously consists of high-gloss stainless steel. The reflector is shaped in such a way that a correspondingly
Finally, the reflector has 2
Of course, it is also possible to use support rods or the like in the
As already mentioned, several
With the reflector design shown, it is possible without difficulty to provide any number of reflectors side by side and one behind the other, which are then connected to one another by the hinge and can adapt to the particular need or to the shape of the surface of the workpiece W to be heated, as is the case Fig. 9 to 16 show schematically.
The design of the ceramic radiators used is of particular advantage. As can be seen particularly in FIGS. 5 to 7, these have a slender, noisy, rectangular shape, the
On the other hand, the radiators are not provided with a fastening piece in the middle, as was customary hitherto, but instead they have supports 9 made of ceramic mass in the end region, through which a
