Description

The invention relates to a double-roller sweeper with two axially parallel to one another on a bogie or support frame, arranged side by side, which by means of a turntable to which they are fastened vertically, together by at least 90 ° C from an oblique to the direction of travel in a working position second mirror image of the working position are pivotable.

In a known double-roller sweeper of this type (US Pat. No. 2,156,065), the two roller brushes are mounted coaxially next to one another in a common support frame, which in turn is attached to an annular turntable in a height-adjustable manner. The turntable consists of a bearing ring which is pivotally mounted on the underside of a wheeled chassis about a vertical axis. The support frame with the two sweeping rollers can be adjusted in height by means of a special lever mechanism so that the rollers can be moved from their working position, in which they rest on the surface to be cleaned, to a raised position, in which they are not in contact with the road. With the help of the turntable, the dipple roller can be brought into any angular position in relation to the chassis. While driving to or from the place of use, the double roller can be pivoted into an angular position in which its axis runs approximately parallel to the direction of travel, so that it does not protrude laterally from the chassis. To do this, however, it is necessary to design the chassis or the wheelbase of the chassis in the longitudinal direction in such a way that the entire length of the double roller has space between the front and rear wheels of the chassis. Although this fact has an adverse effect on the turning radius, this arrangement may be acceptable for sweepers which are only intended for sweeping relatively narrow streets or other traffic areas. However, such an arrangement or such a disadvantage is not portable for sweepers with a particularly large sweeping area width.

In another known sweeper (AT-PS 557 416), two axially parallel but offset in the vehicle longitudinal direction mutually arranged sweeping rollers are provided, one of which is arranged in front of the left rear wheel of the chassis and the other behind the right rear wheel of the chassis. However, these two rollers cannot be pivoted, but can only be lifted off the floor.

Numerous other double-roller sweepers are known (DE-PS 17 634, FR-PS 381 213, US-PS 802 682, DE-OS 1 534168) with rollers which can be partially pivoted and at the same time lifted off or offset from one another in the vehicle longitudinal direction which are not all suitable for clearing very wide traffic areas in one operation.

The invention is based on the object of improving a double-roller sweeper of the type mentioned in such a way that it can capture and clear a much larger area width than conventional sweepers when working, but that it is only one width when driving to or from the place of use occupies, which is slightly larger than the axial length of one of the two broom rollers, and in which the length of the support frame is only slightly larger than the sum of the two broom diameter.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the two sweeper rollers are offset in relation to one another in the direction of travel in a turntable articulated in the direction of travel by means of lifting links on a rescue vehicle and by means of parallel guides in the direction of their own axes from a working position, in which they are offset from one another by their axial length, can be moved into a rest position, in which they lie parallel to one another within the turntable without axial offset and thus occupy the smallest possible width.

The fact that the turntable can be raised and lowered by means of lifting links has the advantage that the turntable itself does not have to be equipped with its own chassis, as is the case with conventional double-roller sweepers.

Weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche 2 bis 6.Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of subclaims 2 to 6.

  • Fig. 1 eine Doppelwalzen-Kehrmaschine der erfindungsmässen Art in Seitenansicht;
An embodiment of the invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. It shows:
  • Figure 1 is a side view of a double-roller sweeper of the type according to the invention;
  • Fig. 2 shows the double-roller sweeper of Fig. 1 in plan view, in which the sweeping rollers are in the sweeping position and
  • Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of two sweeping positions and a parking position of the sweeping rollers.

The double-roller sweeper according to the invention is designed as an add-on unit and has two mutually parallel sweeper rollers 1, 1 ', which are vertically free on a turntable 2, but are inevitably displaceable in the direction of their axes. The turntable 2 is articulated with two lifting arms 3 under static load balancing on an arm of a rescue vehicle, which is not shown further and projects horizontally in the direction of travel, by means of a hydraulic control to compensate for bristle wear between end stops. The turntable 2 is mounted with the sweeping rollers 1, 1 'pivotable about a vertical axis 4 at least by 90, so that the sweeping rollers 1, 1' can be brought into the angular positions shown in FIG. 3, namely into a “clearing position on the left”, one "Parking position" and a "clearing position on the right". While the two sweeping rollers 1, 1 'in the two «clearing positions left »and« -right », in which their axes are inclined at 40 ° to the direction of travel, each fully extended and axially offset from one another along their entire length, in the« parking position »they lie axially flush next to each other, and the turntable is at right angles to the direction of arrow 20.

Das Abheben der Kehrwalzen 1, 1' vom Boden ermöglichen Zugstangen 11.For the storage of the sweeping rollers 1, 1 ', support frames 19, 19' with vertical slides 5, 5 'are provided, which are slidably mounted in horizontal guides 6, 6' on the turntable 2, a drive 7, 7 'e.g. a hydraulic cylinder, which causes the sweeping rollers to shift from their parking position into the sweeping position according to FIG. 2 and back. The carriages 5, 5 'have laterally vertical guides 8, in which the sweeping rollers 1 and 1' are guided to be vertically movable by means of tilting bearings 9. The sweeping rollers 1, 1 'are equipped with stiff plastic bristles which are arranged on them in a helical manner and offset in the longitudinal direction of the sweeping rollers. The sweeping rollers 1, 1 'have e.g. a diameter of 600-1000 mm and are preferably each driven by hydraulic motors 10, 10 'at a speed of about 500-700 U / min, resulting in a floating position and complete and vibration-free contact with the ground. Drawbars 11 enable lifting rollers 1, 1 'to be lifted off the ground.

An attached snow plow 12, 12 ', e.g. in the form of a scraper bar of low height, which is connected to the slide 5 or 5 'via parallel link 13 and a suspension 14, 14'. Diagonal springs 15 ensure resilient ground contact. So that snow picked up by the sweeping rollers 1, 1 'is hurled safely and at least approximately completely in front of the snow plow 12 and then pushed laterally away from it, a baffle plate 16, 16' is arranged behind each snow plow 12, 12 ', between itself and the sweeping roller 1 or 1 'each form a gap 17 or 17'. For this reason, the add-on snow plows 12, 12 'also have a height which is only insignificantly larger than half the radius of a sweeping roller 1, 1'. Compared to the known double-roller sweepers, the sweeper according to the invention not only has the advantage of a substantially larger working width and smaller transport width, but also the advantage that when the two sweeper rollers 1, 1 'are provided with the attachment snow plows 12, 12' mentioned, Traffic areas can be completely cleared of snow, ie that a so-called black clearance can be carried out with it.
