- the object of this invention is to provide an arrangement of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that a gas laden with a larger proportion of dust in the amount required for direct reduction directly from the gasifier to the direct reduction shaft furnace can be supplied without clogging of the interstices of the column by the entrained dust and as a result of this an uneven gas distribution in the direct reduction shaft furnace and malfunctions.
