Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention relates to a battery lamp, in particular a hand lamp, with an integrated hazard warning device according to the preamble of the main claim.

In a known, commercially available battery light, the hazard warning device is arranged in the headlight head, which in turn is held on the top of a battery box that holds a rechargeable battery. On the rear of the headlight head, that is to say in the side wall of the housing of the headlight head opposite the headlight opening, a light passage opening is provided, which is covered with a diffusing screen, behind which the hazard warning lamp of the hazard warning device is arranged.

In the operating mode of the battery lamp as a hazard warning lamp, it is necessary to align the headlight head exactly parallel to the base of the battery lamp, so that the light of the hazard warning lamp is emitted approximately parallel to the street surface and in most cases the light emitted by it is the largest necessary for the warning function Has range. In order to meet this requirement of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO), for such a battery light that functions as a hazard warning light, it is absolutely necessary to snap and lock it in the joint between the battery box and the headlight head so that the headlight head operates parallel to the standing area as a hazard warning light can be aligned and is held reliably in this position. Such latching and locking in the articulated connection between the headlight head and battery box not only causes additional manufacturing costs, but is particularly troublesome in the operation of the battery light as a handheld headlight and is not very practical with regard to a cheap handling of the handheld headlight.

In addition, such a latching or locking of the swivel head, in its essentially horizontal or horizontal position, requires a certain distance between the battery box and the headlight head, in order to ensure manual access to the articulated connection for releasing the latching or locking in the horizontal position of the headlight head . For this reason, the articulated connection is also arranged directly on the underside of the headlight head, which also leads to the fact that when the headlight head is pivoted during operation of the battery lamp as a handheld headlight, the headlight head and its center of gravity protrude beyond the footprint of the battery box and thus the stability of the Battery lamp is significantly reduced in this upward pivoted position of the headlight head. The large overall height of the known battery lamp not only makes it difficult to accommodate it, particularly when it is carried in a motor vehicle, but also significantly increases the material required for manufacturing the lamp.

From BE-A-416 646 a battery lamp with flashing lamp is known, which is arranged in the battery box above the batteries on the front of the lamp. Such an arrangement takes up a considerable amount of space and therefore only allows the formation of a small light-emitting area, because otherwise the battery box would have to be made disproportionately large. In this known arrangement, the headlight head is held on a pivotable support arm of the battery lamp.

From FR-A-1 107 188 a battery lamp is known, the lamp head of which is pivotally attached to the front of a support arm, while the hazard warning device is located inside the battery box. This arrangement of the hazard warning flashers also requires a substantial extension of the battery box to form the light exit surfaces for the warning lamps, so that here too, with a justifiable increase in overall height and a corresponding reduction in stability, only a limited luminosity of the hazard warning flashing device can be achieved, which does not meet the requirements of modern road traffic justice.

Finally, a battery lamp is known from OE-A-1 539 404, in which the flasher unit for the hazard warning flasher acts directly on the headlight. To achieve special signal colors, colored front lenses can be arranged in front of the reflector of the main headlight. With such an arrangement, a high luminous intensity is achieved in the hazard warning flashing mode, but the direction of exit of the warning light can be changed with the pivoting of the headlight head and is therefore not clearly defined. Since the main headlight should be pivotable, there is a risk that the warning light will not be perceived by the person to be warned because the direction of emission is too high or too low.

Based on the difficulties described above, the invention has for its object to provide a structurally compact battery lamp, which ensures a high level of stability due to a low height and is designed such that there are large radiation areas for both the actual lamp and the hazard warning device result in high brightness with a predetermined radiation direction of the warning light.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

The battery lamp according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage over the known arrangements that the hazard warning lamp is always in a fixed association with the base of the battery lamp and has a sufficiently large distance from it. This eliminates the need for separate alignment of the headlight head in this position. This means that the locking device in the articulated connection between the battery box and the headlight head can be dispensed with, which leads to an improvement in the handling of the battery lamp in operation as a hand lamp and simplifies the design and manufacture of the battery lamp. Without the existing detent, the headlight head can now be steplessly adjusted at any angle to the battery box. This simplifies and improves the handling of the battery lamp when used as a hand lamp.

These measures also create the prerequisite for making the battery light overall more compact and compact, with a lower overall height, which both saves material and significantly increases the stability of the battery light even when the headlight head is pivoted upwards.

The measures listed in the subclaims permit advantageous developments and improvements to the battery lamp specified in the main claim.

The embodiment of the invention according to claim 6 is particularly advantageous here. These measures advantageously make it possible to implement the inventive concept of shifting the swivel axis of the headlight head toward the swivel head center axis without the existing volume in the headlight head being worth mentioning for accommodating the necessary components is reduced. At the same time, it is ensured that the hazard warning lamp located below the headlight head is not completely or partially covered in any pivoting position of the headlight head.

The embodiment of the invention according to claim 8 is also advantageous. This achieves a watertight lead-through for the connecting lines between the battery and the headlamp, in which the connecting lines are hardly exposed to bending or tensile stress.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention also results from claim 9. These constructive measures result in a structurally simple and technically advantageous articulated connection between the headlight head and the battery box cover, which is very flat and takes up relatively little space in the headlight head.

A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention results from claim 12, alone or in conjunction with the embodiments of the invention according to the other claims. These measures enable the use of non-type-tested lamps, in particular the use of the same lamp as in the headlight head, also in the hazard warning device and the replacement of the hazard warning lamp by the user even if a lamp defect occurs. Only type-tested bulbs with a nominal voltage of 6, 12 or 24 V are permitted for turn signals according to the StVZO. For reasons of volume and weight, conventional battery lights work with a direct voltage of 4.8 V. Such lamps with a nominal voltage of 4.8 V may only be used in hazard warning flashers if these lamps are specially approved for the manufacturer and it is also ensured that only the lamps approved for the manufacturer - and not other commercially available lamps - can be used by the user in the hazard warning device. This requirement is met by the embodiment of the invention according to claim 12, since only the complete assembly of reflector and lamp approved for the manufacturer can be replaced, but not the lamp which has not been type-tested and not approved as such. In addition, this has the advantage that the procurement costs and the storage costs for these incandescent lamps can be reduced by using the same lamp of 4.8 V nominal voltage in the headlights and hazard warning device.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

The battery light shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 with an integrated hazard warning flashing device in the embodiment of a hand lamp has a battery case 10 with a hinged cover cap 11 and a headlight head 12 with a headlight 20 arranged therein pivotably about an essentially transverse pivot axis 19. Provided in the battery case 10 is a battery receiving space 13 for receiving a rechargeable battery 14 and a cable compartment 16 which is separate from the battery compartment 13 and can be covered by a flap 15 for inserting a charging mains cable (not shown). The flap 15 and the cover cap 11 are pivotable about a common hinge 17 fastened to the battery box 10. The cover cap 11 is locked on the battery box 10 by means of a closure device 18 that can only be operated with a tool.

Near its upper end, the battery box 10, here the cap 11 in a side wall, specifically in the side wall 22 facing away from the headlight opening 21 in the headlight head 12, has a light passage opening 23 which extends essentially over the entire extent of the side wall 22 and in Adaptation to it is rectangular. The light passage opening 23 is covered by a light diffusing screen 24. A hazard warning lamp 25 with an associated reflector 26 is arranged in the cover 11 substantially coaxially with the light passage opening 23. As can be seen in particular from FIG. 3, the hazard warning lamp 25 and reflector 26 are combined to form an inseparable structural unit 27, the reflector 26 being one with it lumpy socket neck 28 for receiving the lamp base 29 of the hazard warning lamp 25. The lamp base 29 is cast in a watertight manner into the holder neck 28 of the reflector 26 by means of a casting compound 30. The socket neck 28 is provided with two preferably diametrically opposite openings 31, through each of which a connection flat plug 32 projects, which is electrically conductively connected, in particular soldered, to an end contact point 33 of the lamp base 29. The light diffusing screen 24 covering the light passage opening 23 is also held in a non-detachable manner on the reflector 26, specifically glued to the reflector opening in a watertight manner. The entire assembly 27 is accessible and replaceable in the cover cap 11 from the underside thereof, for which purpose the cover cap 11 has to be folded down from the battery box 10 after the locking device 18 has been unlocked. For simple replacement of the assembly 27, it can be clipped into the light passage opening 23 in the side wall 22 of the cover cap 11 by means of resilient projections 34.

The height of the side wall 22 of the cover cap 11, which has the light passage opening 23, is dimensioned to be substantially greater than the side wall opposite this side wall and carrying the closure device 18. The cover cap 11 rises from this side wall to the side wall 22 having the light passage opening 23 in the manner of a writing desk. Near the side wall 22, the covering cap 11 has a flat surface 35 which is oriented essentially at right angles to this side wall 22 and on which two supports 36 which are arranged as far apart as possible project transversely upwards therefrom. the swivel axis 19 of the headlight head 12, which is arranged near the swivel head center axis 37 and aligned transversely thereto, runs through the two supports 36 near the free ends thereof. The two supports 36 are hollow with a rectangular cross section. They have an end opening 38 opening in the interior of the cover cap 11 and in each case at their free end a through opening 39 coaxial with the pivot axis 19. In addition, at the free ends of the supports 36, specifically on the sides thereof facing away from one another, with the pivot axis 19 of the pivot head 12 coaxial bearing journals 40, which are of hollow cylindrical design.

The headlight head 12 tapers in its housing 41 from the headlight opening 21 in the axial direction, the degree of taper of the housing 41 being substantially greater in a housing region adjacent to the reflector opening 21 than in the housing region further away. In the housing region further away from the reflector opening 21 with a lower degree of taper, two narrow housing pockets 42 assigned to the supports 36 are provided in the housing 41 of the headlight head 12. The housing pockets 42 each extend parallel to one of the two housing sides 43, 44 of the headlight head 12 oriented transversely to the headlight opening 21 and are at a distance from the housing rear side 45 of the headlight head 12 facing away from the headlight opening 21 and to the underside of the housing, which runs essentially at right angles thereto 46 of the headlight head 12 open. The housing pockets 42 have, with the through openings 39 of the hollow supports 36, coaxial openings 47 which establish a connection between the through openings 39 of the supports 36 and the interior of the housing 41 of the swivel head 12. Electrical connection cables 48, as indicated schematically in FIG. 1, are passed from the battery 14 in the battery receiving space 13 of the battery box 10 through the hollow supports 36, the through openings 39 and through the openings 47 in the housing pockets 42 into the housing interior of the headlight head 12 connected to the headlight 20 there. This results in a watertight cable leadthrough of the battery lamp, in which the connecting cables 48 are guided almost without bending and kinking. For the pivotally movable mounting of the headlight head 12 on the supports 36, a half-shell 49 which is integral with these is provided in the two housing pockets 42. In each case a half-shell 49 rests on a bearing journal 40 of the supports 36. On each of these two half-shells 49, a counter-half-shell 50 is detachably held by means of two screws 51, the counter-half-shell 50 each encompassing a bearing pin 40 of the supports 36 from below. The supports 36 with bearing pins 40 and the associated housing pockets 42 with molded-on half-shells 49 and counter-half-shells 50 screwed thereon, each of which completely encompasses one bearing pin 40, provide a technically simple, space-saving articulated connection between the cover cap 11 of the battery case 10 and the headlight head 12 realized. This articulated connection makes it possible to move the swivel axis 19 of the articulated connection as far as possible up to the swivel head central axis 37 without significantly reducing the usable installation space in the headlight head 12.

For convenient handling of the battery lamp, an approximately bow-shaped handle 52 is arranged on the headlight head 12 with its housing 41. The handle 52 runs in the housing region of the headlight head 12 remote from the headlight opening 21 with a small degree of taper, essentially parallel and at a distance from the housing contour. Close to the headlight opening 21, the handle 52 is held directly and at the opposite end, that is to say on the rear side 45 of the housing, via a spacer web 53 on the housing 41 of the headlight head 12.
