Durch das Schliessen der Hauptschaltstrecke 1 wird die aus dem Einschaltwiderstand 2 und der Hilfsschaltstrecke 3 bestehende Reihenschaltung überbrückt und damit wirkungslos gemacht. Um während des Ausschaltvorganges den Einschaltwiderstand 2 unbelastet zu lassen, öffnet die Hilfsschaltstrecke 3 nach dem Schliessen der Hauptschaltstrecke 1 selbsttätig.
