Description

The innovation relates to a travel rail with bores connected via lines to a lubricant pump for supplying lubricant to the flank surfaces of the rail which are subject to wear due to travel operation.

It is already known to cut the lateral contact surfaces between the rail and the wheel, in particular in track arches, in order to reduce lateral wear on the running rail and wheel and also to reduce noise. For this purpose, the rails in the area to be lubricated are provided with bores which have their outlet end in the section to be lubricated and extend obliquely downward from there. A feed line for the lubricant is then connected to the lower end of these bores via a threaded screw connection. It is therefore necessary to drill correspondingly inclined bores in the rail heads and also to provide these bores with threads in their lower region in order to enable a connection to the feed line. It takes considerable processing time to produce such a thread, since this work generally has to be carried out on the route, not in a mechanical workshop with the machines usually available there. In addition to this considerable processing effort, it is also disadvantageous in the previously used rails with holes for supplying a lubricant that leaks can occur in the area of the connection between the line and the hole, which, for. B, cause lubricant to flow out in the area of the threaded connection.

The object of the present innovation is now to eliminate the deficiencies described in a travel rail of the type mentioned at the outset and to specify a travel rail which enables a reliably dense supply of lubricant to the surfaces to be lubricated with relatively little processing effort.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a running rail of the type concerned here in that each line has a permanently elastic material at least at the end connected in each case with a borehole and, lying against the wall of the borehole, extends through the borehole essentially to its outlet end and in that a metal nipple provided with a passage is pressed into the end of the line from the outlet end of the bore.

This rail is therefore only to be processed in such a way that holes are made in the rail head. This can easily be done on the rail when installed. A teaching is expediently used for this purpose, which ensures secure mounting and alignment of the drilling device. After introducing the permanently elastic line into the bore, a metal nipple is simply hammered into the line from the outlet end of the bore, which presses the line sealingly against the dumbbell surface of the bore and thus prevents lubricant from flowing back between the outer surface of the line and the jacket of the bore . This work only takes a short amount of time.

The innovation further provides that the metal nipple has at least one conical surface on its outer circumference, which tapers counter to the conveying direction of the lubricant. Such a design of the metal nipple leads to a certain wedging of the end section of the line in the bore and thus to a particularly secure and tight fit.

Finally, the innovation provides that the entire line is made of a permanently elastic, oil-resistant rubber.

  • Fig. 2: einen Schnitt nach Linie II-II in Fig. 1.
In the following part of the description, an embodiment of the new rail is described with reference to drawings. It shows :
  • Fig. 1: a partial view of an inventive rail with distributor and metering valve and
  • 2 shows a section along line II-II in Fig. 1st

The travel rail 1 shown in the figures has a head section 2, a web 3 and a foot section 4.

Hit the web 3 is screwed by means of screws 5, only one of which is shown, a holding rail 6, which among other things carries a metering device 7, which is coupled to a distributor 9 via a line 8. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the distributor 9 has three line connections 10, each of which has a line 11 made of permanently elastic material.

Die Mantelflächen der Leitungen 11 liegen dann an der Mand der Bohrungen 12 an.In the head section 2 of the carriage 1 there are bores 12 at a distance from one another which emanate from a wear-stressed inner flank surface 13 of the rail 1 and which are inclined downwards. The undore end of these bores 12 lies on the side of the retaining clip 6. The diameter of the bores 12 essentially corresponds to the outer diameter of the lines 11. These lines 11 can therefore be inserted into the openings 12. The lateral surfaces of the lines 11 then lie against the mandrel of the bores 12.

A metal nipple 14 is inserted into the end of the lines 11, which is adjacent to the flank surface 13, which has at least one, in the exemplary embodiment shown three cone surfaces 15. This nipple 14 has a passage 16. It presses the wall of the line 11 against the mandrel of the bore 12, so that a seal is also formed between the line 11 and the wall of the wall. It is therefore not possible for lubricant to flow back along the outer surface of the conduit 11 through the bore 12. After hammering in the metal nipple 14, the end of the line 11 and the metal nipple 14 protruding approximately from the head section 2 can be ground or cut off.

The lines 11 preferably consist of a permanently elastic, oil-resistant rubber. The permanent elasticity ensures that the wall of the lines 11 always remains pressed against the bore end with a certain tension and the sealing effect!:! maintained.

A rail 1 designed in this way came in a known tit to be provided with a collecting trough, not shown, for the sannels of approximately dripping seed material.
