Description

The invention relates to a package in the form of a bag for flavored and / or to be kept moist contents, consisting of a filled bag part which is formed by two opposite wall parts made of plastic film, its bottom edge being formed by folding the plastic film along a bottom fold while on its two side edges, the opposite wall parts are firmly sealed to one another, the upper edge forming the opening of the bag being peelable by a sealing seam running parallel to the bottom fold such that the sealing seam can be released without tearing the wall parts.

A tobacco pouch is already known from German Offenlegungsschrift 2,518,229, in which the upper edge forming the opening of the pouch is not closed. One of the two wall parts forming the bag in the lower region, namely the rear wall part, is extended upwards into a foldable flap part which rests on the outside of the bag part when the bag is folded. An adhesive zone running parallel to the bottom fold line is intended on the one hand to close the front wall part at the top at the edge and on the other hand in the area lying next to it to close the rear wall part. However, this does not result in an aroma and vapor-tight closure. In addition, a tobacco pouch known thereafter is disadvantageous in terms of both its manufacture and its use.

A pack of the type mentioned at the outset is known from German Offenlegungsschrift 2,840,223. There, the sealing seam running parallel to the bottom rebate has been arranged between wall parts made of different plastic materials, so that there is a releasable welded connection. If you make the package of the type mentioned from one and the same plastic material, so that the bag is formed by folding a cut piece of a plastic material web along the bottom fold at about the end of a third of the material web, then you leave out the inner layer of the bag part a first type of material. Furthermore, the upper edge region of the front wall part is then folded inwards and welded directly to the adjacent inside of the rear wall part. This means that there are two different types of material when welding, so that by appropriately adjusting the materials, their seam strength during welding can be reduced to such an extent that a peelable sealing seam can be achieved. This reduction in seam strength then also applies to the sealed seams of the two side edges of the bag part. With after in part, it has been shown that when the peelable sealing seam is opened, the user also detaches the upper areas of the lateral sealing seams at the edges. These are then undesirably no longer tightly sealed with great seam strength.

There are also packs, e.g. As tobacco folding bags or flat bags, are known in which the seam strength is not reduced by folding over, as in the last example described, but by streak coating of a surface. This solution has the disadvantage, however, that solvents evaporate into the filling material and when the end consumer opens it, solvent residues fall into the filling material as solid crumbs.

Another disadvantage of all previously known packs with a detachable or peelable sealing seam was also the damage to the pack during the sealing process. The heat for sealing the wall parts together has been transferred in a known manner by heat baking, and it has on the back, i. H. the outside of the finished tobacco pouch results in an unsightly seam that is visible to the end user. With less careful production, this can even destroy the decor, resulting in an unsightly appearance.

The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a package of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that a peelable sealing seam can be applied without the side sealing seams even being partially affected thereby, damage to external surfaces being ruled out.

This object is achieved in that the sealing seams of the two side edges of the opposite wall parts run with great seam strength up to the upper edge of the bag opening and that Peelable sealing seam crosses the side sealing seams in the area of the upper edge in such a way that it can only be peeled between the cross points.

Through the measures according to the invention, a bag pack is created which, at the cross points of the sealing seam on the one hand and the two side sealing seams on the other hand, d. H. at the top of the bag outside, has great seam strength. The consumer can open such a package without special care along the peelable seal by pulling the front wall part away from the rear wall part so that the seal comes loose from the center towards both sides. This dissolving process is brought to a standstill at the cross points with the side sealing seams due to their great seam strength. This creates a pleasant and very useful bag pack, especially when used as a Ta. bak bag. The new arrangement of the sealing seam also extends the shelf life of the packaged goods because the hermetic seal largely keeps the aroma and moisture in the package before opening. An adhesive seam, a varnish coating or the like is not used as in the known case, but according to the invention the bag is closed without foreign substances which could mix with the contents and could affect its taste. Material webs with plastic films with improved barrier properties can now also be used, and the tightness of a tobacco pouch can advantageously be improved by improving the durability of the tobacco, and even the overlap provided in the conventional tobacco pouches can be dispensed with without impairing the barrier properties.

It is also advantageous according to the invention if the sealing seam runs from one side edge of the bag to the other. Then the manufacture can be improved and the Production speed can be increased. The tools used can also be designed more simply because the length of the sealing seam is not so important.

For sales reasons, it is sometimes advisable to use metallized material webs. A related further embodiment of the invention is then characterized in that the sealing seam is arranged on the non-metallized inside between two superimposed, externally metallized wall parts. In this way, very appealing packs can be produced by the strip-metallized film, and yet the sealing seam can be arranged by simple means for releasably closing the bag opening in such a way that it can only be peeled with the side sealing seams between the intersections at the corners, so that Even in the case of the strip-metallized surface, the side edges have a high seam strength right to the top.

For the purposes of the invention, “strip metallization” means only partial, namely strip-like coating of the top of the package with metal; in particular in such a way that in the high-frequency welding area there is also no metallization on the outside of the pack and of course also on the inside of the pack, in order, for. B. to avoid an electrical short circuit. Since this area is strip-shaped on the flat-lying film blank, the strip metallization is also "strip-shaped" on the complementary area, so to speak.

The invention further relates to a method for producing the package described above, in which a material web comprising the plastic film is pulled off rolls, folded over a bottom fold running parallel to the conveying direction to form the bag part and is then welded and singulated transversely to the conveying direction on the side edges of the bag, after which the filling material is filled in and the bag is thermally sealed along a sealing seam connecting the side edges. The pack is achieved with the features explained in detail above if, according to the invention, the sealing seam is produced by gently pressing the two material web parts to be welded to one another and simultaneously high-frequency welding. According to the invention, high-frequency welding with a frequency of 27 MHz is preferred. The high-frequency welding can of course also be carried out under other conditions. Although high-frequency welding for joining thick, hard PVC films is already known, it has not yet been used in packs of the type described here. The high-frequency welding can be used to avoid the unsightly markings in the decor when the welding jaws are pushed through along the sealing seam. By means of a suitably constructed material web, in particular the plastic film or films installed in it, it can be achieved that the material web absorbs more or less the energy of the high-frequency radiation on its surfaces to be welded to one another, so that a really peelable sealing seam can be achieved without destroying the surfaces of the material webs is.

It may be expedient if the high-frequency welding jaws are preheated to 40 ° C. according to the invention. Avoiding welding strips that push through to the outside, this preparatory measure allows high-frequency welding to be used particularly quickly and with a sweeping effect.

Further advantages, features and possible applications of the present invention result from the following description in connection with the drawings. Show it: 1
  • 1 schematically and in perspective a preferred embodiment of a pack, with the sealing seam being particularly emphasized,
  • 2 in cross section a detail of FIG. 1 according to the dash-dotted circle A,
  • Fig. 3 also shows a detail of FIG. 3 according to the dash-dotted circle B and
  • Fig. 4 shows another embodiment of the pack with a shortened flap part and a clear representation of the cross points at which the sealing seam intersect at its two ends and the side sealing seams.

The package shown in Fig. 1 consists of a three-layer material web, the outer plastic film 1 is made of polypropylene with good optical properties. The middle layer 2 is a paper insert. In fact, studies have shown that the majority of end users, especially smokers, prefer a pouch, in particular a tobacco pouch, which has been produced according to the traditional method with the paper insert enclosed by transparent films. The third layer 3 of the material web is therefore, as the so-called inner plastic film, a special film which, depending on the setting of its components, absorbs the appropriate high-frequency radiation in the desired manner. This enables the production of the sealing seam 4 as a detachable, peelable sealing seam. The sealing seam 4, like the layer structure of the material web, is clear in the cross-sectional views of circles A and B in FIG. 1 and on an enlarged scale in FIG. 2 or the structure with layers 1 to 3 in FIG. 3. The sealing seam 4 runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the material web and is indicated by a line x-x-x in FIGS. 1 and 4.

In the embodiments of FIGS. 1 and 4, the bag part 5, which is formed by two opposite wall parts 6 and 7, can be seen in the lower region. If one looks at the partially opened package according to FIGS. 1 and 4, 6 is the front wall part and 7 is the rear wall part. The rear wall part is extended upwards to form a flap part 8. In the embodiment of FIG. 1, this flap part is evidently longer than in the embodiment of FIG. 4. With the adhesive strip 9 only shown in FIG. 4, the flap part 8, after the packing has been filled and folded down, is placed on the outside or below of the bag glued at the back.

The bottom edge of the bag part 5 coincides with the bottom fold 10, which in itself also results from further processing of the package according to the embodiment in FIG. 1, but is not shown in FIG. 1. The two side edges 11 and 12 extend transversely to the bottom fold 10 and also transversely to the upper edge 13, which forms the opening of the bag 5.

While the peelable sealing seam 4 running parallel to the bottom fold 10 is shown in both embodiments of FIGS. 1 to 3 and FIG. 4, the side sealing seams 14 are only on the right side in the embodiment of FIG. 4 in the form of a double dashed line shown. There you can also see the intersection 15 at which the peelable sealing seam 4 crosses the lateral sealing seam 14. It is therefore particularly clear from FIG. 4 how the lateral sealing seams with uniform and high seam strength run from the bottom fold 10 to the upper edge 13, so that the peelable sealing seam 4 is only provided between the cross points 15 with their low seam strength, in the cross points 15 on the other hand, the desired, equal seam strength of the side sealing seam 14 is present.
