Description

The invention relates to a mixer for bulk material, in particular for fibrous suspensions such as cellulose derivatives, in the form of a horizontally arranged, drum-shaped or trough-shaped container with a drivable blade mechanism which has mixing blades arranged radially on a shaft running through the container in the longitudinal direction.

Such devices for drying, reacting and mixing bulk goods are known which have a drum-shaped container with a horizontal longitudinal axis, in which a drivable shaft is mounted centrally, which carries mixing tools on radially arranged arms. Such devices are not able to crush hard, tough or fibrous agglomerates or granules that are present in the starting product or that arise during drying, reaction or mixing. Such agglomerates lead to longer drying times, reaction times and inhomogeneous end products. In addition, it is usually necessary to add a grinding process for comminuting the agglomerates.

  • Aufwendige Abdichtungen der Drehdurchführung der Zusatzvorrichtungen;
  • Gefahr des Abknickens der fliegend gelagerten Wellen der Zusatzvorrichtungen;
  • Im fortgeschrittenen Trocknungsstadium, wenn die Agglomerate oberflächig angetrocknet, im Kern aber noch plastisch sind, neigen sie bei Pralleinwirkung zur Verdichtung, dadurch wird der Diffusionswiderstand erhöht und das Produkt unter Umständen geschädigt;
  • Das Endprodukt hat eine sehr heterogene Kornverteilung;
  • Man benötigt zusätzliche Antriebseinheiten neben dem Hauptwellenantrieb;
  • Es muß ein Mahlprozeß nachgeschaltet werden.
For this reason, various additional devices have been developed for such devices, such as built-in pin mills or knife heads, which are supposed to break down the resulting agglomerates mainly by impact. The following disadvantages occur here:
  • Elaborate seals for the rotary feedthrough of the additional devices;
  • Danger of the flying shafts of the additional devices kinking;
  • In the advanced drying stage, when the agglomerates have dried on the surface but are still plastic in the core, they tend to compress when impacted, which increases the diffusion resistance and may damage the product;
  • The end product has a very heterogeneous grain distribution;
  • Additional drive units are required in addition to the main shaft drive;
  • A grinding process must be followed.

The object of the invention is now to provide a robust mixing device for the heat treatment of bulk goods, which avoids the aforementioned disadvantages, especially instead of crushing by impact, which is made possible by cleaning and cutting and makes additional drive units unnecessary.

Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist Gegenstand des Patentanspruchs 1. Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.The solution to this problem is the subject of claim 1. Advantageous further developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

In conjunction with the grinding stators, the grinding rings enable the setting of a grinding gap and thus a forced reduction, whereby by specifying the grinding gap, a homogeneous grain distribution takes place and a grinding process that follows the process can be omitted.

The grinding rings can be arranged on spoke wheels. However, if the grinding rings are arranged on non-perforated disks, this promotes the mixing process, because the disks move the bulk material increasingly in the axial direction. The panes can advantageously be heated, which can shorten drying times.

The grinding stators preferably consist of cylinder surfaces which are adjustably arranged in the container housing or of strips arranged on covered cylinder surfaces; Grinding stators broken through in this way have the advantage of being permeable to the material to be mixed, which favors the success of the mixing. The grinding rings appropriately have exchangeable grinding segments on the circumference. Since the holders of the grinding stators only in their axial direction, i.e. can be moved in the radial direction with respect to the shaft of the mixer, they can be made simple and robust and a lateral kinking can thus be excluded.

The appropriate number of pairs of grinding tools formed from a grinding ring and a grinding stator depends on the length of the mixer Dwell time and the properties of the bulk material. According to the invention, at least one such pair is provided, but preferably several, but generally not more than one such pair between two adjacent mixing blades.

With the device according to the invention, moist, fibrous, pulpy bulk goods and suspensions can be dried, reacted, but also heated, cooled or mixed under negative pressure, normal pressure or positive pressure.

The material to be treated is constantly mixed by means of the tools, loosened and fed to the grinding tools, which shred the material in the grinding gap formed by it. The grinding rings are preferably bevelled on both sides, the inclined surfaces facing the grinding stator, as a result of which they impart a movement component to the bulk material in the direction of the grinding stator. Provisions are made to draw off the moisture released from the material and to be able to supply reactants.

Further details emerge from the views of a mixing-drying device according to the invention shown in the drawing as a preferred embodiment, based on the following description, namely:
  • 1 shows the longitudinal section of a device according to the invention,
  • Figure 2 shows the cross section II-II through the device of Figure 1, and
  • Figure 3 as a detail of a modified grinding stator in a perspective view.

Der optimale Füllgrad des Behälters 1 mit Mischgut 6 liegt bei etwa 70 %.As can be seen from the drawing, the mixer shown for bulk material, in particular for fibrous suspensions 1, consists of a drum-shaped container 1 with mixing blades 3, which can be driven by a shaft 2 passing through, with holding arms 4, which are evenly distributed over the shaft 2 at a distance and in an angular position. Between some of these mixing blades 3, additional grinding rings 5 are attached centrally on the rotating shaft 2 at an angle to their longitudinal axis, which wobble when rotating. The optimum degree of filling of the container 1 with the mixture 6 is about 70%.

The grinding rings 5 interact on their peripheral surface with staionary counter surfaces of a grinding stator 8, both surfaces preferably being profiled to form cutting and rubbing edges. The counter surfaces consist of cylinder partial surfaces which are adjustably arranged on the container housing 1, while the peripheral surface of the grinding rings 5 is formed from interchangeable grinding segments 7. The counter surfaces of the grinding stator 8 are arranged on supports 9 which can be adjusted from the outside and are oriented radially on the shaft 2 in the container 1 in such a way that mixing blades 3 can pass underneath on one or both sides, as can be seen from FIG becomes. The adjustable supports 9 for the counter surfaces are sealed by means of bellows 10. The counter surfaces of the grinding stator 8 are arranged in the lower region of the container housing 1, preferably on the part which rises in the direction of rotation D of the shaft 2 and make up approximately 10-50%, preferably 25%, of the circumference of the housing 1 covered by the mixing blades 3 .

The effective width of the grinding rings 5 corresponds approximately to the axial extent of a mixing blade 3. The counter surfaces of the grinding stators 8 are, as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, under the action of springs 11. The adjustable supports 9 of the grinding stators 8 can be designed as spring pistons be, the spring pistons are preferably formed by so-called constant spring supports, as is not particularly shown here, so that a constant pressure is achieved. The sockets 12, 13 on the housing 1 are used for filling and emptying.

The large-area grinding stators according to FIGS. 1 and 2, which are impermeable to the bulk material, can be replaced by grinding stators according to FIG. 3, which are permeable to the bulk material. They consist of a supporting structure which consists of circular ribs 14 and cutting strips 15 connecting these ribs 14. The cutting strips 15 are provided on their side facing the grinding ring 5 with a profiled surface and lie parallel to one another on one support 9 to be fastened to the housing of the container 1.
