Definitions
- the invention relates to a roll stand with overhung, mutually adjustable rollers, the roller shafts of which are mounted in a housing rotatably arranged eccentric bushings and are drive-connected via gear wheels on their ends opposite the rollers with intermediate shafts also mounted in the housing.
- Roll stands of this type are intended to permit uninterrupted operation as far as possible. Therefore, the replacement of wear parts must be carried out in the shortest possible time. On the other hand, the replacement units should be as small as possible, ie limited to the wear parts, in order to keep the operating and maintenance costs as well as the effort for the spare parts storage low.
- Various constructions have already become known for this purpose (DPS 742 990, DOS 2304268, US-PS3336781), which provide an easily detachable connection between individual parts of such a rolling stand and enable these parts to be replaced quickly. In this case, however, relatively large housing parts, including functional parts that are subject to only slight wear, are still replaced. This then requires complex assembly, sealing and alignment work. It is an object of the present invention to provide an arrangement which avoids these disadvantages and, in the case of largely excluding housing parts from the changing process, practically limits them to the decisive wear parts.
- the diameters of the gear wheels and toothed rings arranged on the eccentric bushings for the eccentric adjustment are made smaller than the diameters of the bearings of the eccentric bushings on the housing side. This ensures that the opening in the end face of the housing, through which the exchange units are exchanged, need not be larger than the diameter of the eccentric bush bearing specified in terms of operation. Nevertheless, each of the two interchangeable units assigned to one of the rollers can be easily replaced individually or both.
- the eccentric bushings are provided on their circumference with a groove into which a wedge, which is common to the eccentric bushings and is mounted in the housing, can be inserted by means of a spindle, which axially fixes the eccentric bushings and, when pulled out, allows the eccentric bushings to be removed.
- a housing 1 with oil bores 2 is closed at its roller-side end with an end plate 3.
- Two roller shafts 5 with their ends 4 intended for receiving roller disks 4 passing through the end plate 3 are mounted in eccentric bushings 6, which in turn are rotatably mounted in the housing 1.
- the roller shafts 5 carry at their other end gear wheels 7, the external toothing of which engages with the inner toothing of wheels 8 mounted in the housing 1 concentrically with the eccentric bushes 6, regardless of the position of the eccentric bushings 6.
- the wheels 8 are seated on intermediate shafts mounted in the housing 1 9 that over Spur gears 10 are drive-connected to one another. One of the two intermediate shafts 9 is connected to the roller drive.
- the roll adjustment is carried out symmetrically by rotating the eccentric bushes 6 in opposite directions via an adjusting spindle 11 with two worm gears 12 and two adjusting wheels 13.
- Each of the two eccentric bushes 6 is provided with a circumferential groove 14 'into which a common wedge 15 engages, which is slidably mounted in the housing 1 via elongated holes 16 and pins 17.
- the eccentric bushes 6 are fixed in the axial direction by the wedge 15 in the housing 1.
- the wedge 15 can be pulled out of the grooves 15 by means of a spindle 18. He then releases the eccentric bushes 6 so that they can be individually and collectively pulled out and exchanged on the front side from the housing 1, in each case together with the roller shaft bearings, the roller shafts 5 and the gear wheels 7.
- the opening in the end plate 3 need only be as large as the front bearing diameter D of the eccentric bushes 6, since the remaining parts of the exchange units, i.e. the eccentric bushes 6 themselves, the ring gear 19 with which the adjusting wheels 13 mesh, and also the toothed wheels 7 are dimensioned so that they have no larger diameter or larger projection.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a roll stand with overhung, mutually adjustable rollers, the roller shafts of which are mounted in a housing rotatably arranged eccentric bushings and are drive-connected via gear wheels on their ends opposite the rollers with intermediate shafts also mounted in the housing.
Roll stands of this type are intended to permit uninterrupted operation as far as possible. Therefore, the replacement of wear parts must be carried out in the shortest possible time. On the other hand, the replacement units should be as small as possible, ie limited to the wear parts, in order to keep the operating and maintenance costs as well as the effort for the spare parts storage low. Various constructions have already become known for this purpose (DPS 742 990, DOS 2304268, US-PS3336781), which provide an easily detachable connection between individual parts of such a rolling stand and enable these parts to be replaced quickly.
Then it is proposed for a roll stand of the type mentioned that the eccentric bushings together with the rolls, the roll shafts, the roll shaft bearings and the gears are individually easily detachably inserted into the housing from its end face through a correspondingly dimensioned opening in it. This prevents separation of housing parts. All utility lines connected to the housing, W alzarmaturen and roller guides can be maintained and remain with the changing process unchanged. The storage and procurement of the change parts as well as the change itself are considerably cheaper. Since only a one-piece stationary housing is required, the manufacture of such a rolling stand is also cheaper.
In a particularly expedient embodiment of the proposed rolling stand, the diameters of the gear wheels and toothed rings arranged on the eccentric bushings for the eccentric adjustment are made smaller than the diameters of the bearings of the eccentric bushings on the housing side. This ensures that the opening in the end face of the housing, through which the exchange units are exchanged, need not be larger than the diameter of the eccentric bush bearing specified in terms of operation. Nevertheless, each of the two interchangeable units assigned to one of the rollers can be easily replaced individually or both.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the eccentric bushings are provided on their circumference with a groove into which a wedge, which is common to the eccentric bushings and is mounted in the housing, can be inserted by means of a spindle, which axially fixes the eccentric bushings and, when pulled out, allows the eccentric bushings to be removed. This design results in a very simple and reliable connection of the exchange units to the housing, but at the same time ensures that this connection is released with the least possible effort.
