Abstract
Se da a conocer un método de recuperación de un metal, tal como cobre o níquel o cinc o cobalto, a partir de un material que contiene sulfuro de metal en un material extraído por minería a partir del cual no resulta económico recuperar metales usando opciones de recuperación convencionales antes de realizarse la invención. El método incluye mezclar (i) el material que contiene sulfuro de metal y (ii) pirita y formar aglomerados, lixiviar aglomerados con un licor de lixiviación y microbios y retirar un metal a partir del material que contiene sulfuro de metal y formar un licor de lixiviación cargado que contiene metal, y recuperar el metal a partir del licor de lixiviación cargado. También se da a conocer una operación de lixiviación en pilas para un material que contiene sulfuro de metal. También se da a conocer un circuito de flotación para una planta de procesamiento de mena para un material que contiene sulfuro de metal.
