Abstract

Способ и устройство для обработки измельченных металлических отходов, загрязненных одним или несколькими органическими соединениями, включающий в себя перемешивание внутри камеры металлических отходов по меньшей мере с одним соединением кальция/магния, которое способно вступать в экзотермическую реакцию с водой, экзотермическую реакцию по меньшей мере одного соединения кальция/магния с водой, которая содержит металлические отходы, увеличение температуры металлических отходов, подвергающихся экзотермической реакции, обезвоживание металлических отходов во время этой экзотермической реакции, окисление органических соединений во время перемешивания посредством введения металлических отходов, загрязненных одним или несколькими органическими соединениями и перемешанных по меньшей мере с одним соединением кальция/магния, в контакт с потоком газа, содержащего, по меньшей мере, частично кислород, и извлечение из камеры пригодного к транспортировке обезвоженного обработанного продукта, имеющего содержание остаточных органических соединений менее 1 вес.% от обработанного продукта.
