Abstract
A pair of briefs, for example a pair of women's briefs, comprises a front section 2 designed to cover the lower area of the abdomen, a rear section 3 designed to cover essentially both the right and left buttocks, and a connecting section 4 designed to connect the front section 2 to the rear section 3 and to cover the crotch area of the person wearing the briefs. The front section 2 has projecting parts 21 extending both to the left and to the right in an upper area thereof. The rear section 3 has projecting parts 31 extending obliquely outwards from the upper part thereof, both to the right and to the left, and is curved in such a way that it is drawn furthest back at its upper edge 35 on the centre line through the rear section 3. The projecting parts 21, 33 on both the front section 2 and the rear section 3 are joined together at their end edges 24, 34. <IMAGE>
