Description
The invention relates to a lock/key system, comprising a lock cylinder, in the lock cylinder housing of which a cylinder core is rotatably mounted, which has a keyway for introducing a flat or reversible key which is provided with longitudinal profiling on the side faces of the key shank.
In conventional lock cylinders, with a cylinder core mounted rotatably in the cylinder housing, the tumblers are arranged such that they are displaced by the lateral profile of the key or the notches in the key face, this displacement resulting in alignment of the housing tumblers and core tumblers at the separating plane between the cylinder core and cylinder housing.
Whereas without a key inserted the tumblers extend past this separating plane and thus prevent rotation of the cylinder core, the cylinder core can be turned, and hence a locking operation can be triggered, with a suitably coded key. A prerequisite for this is however that the key can be introduced fully into the keyway, so that all the cooperating notches, profile regions and tumblers are correctly oriented.
Manipulation of such a lock cylinder is possible with suitable tools, because this tool too can generally be introduced fully into the keyway.
The object of the invention is to secure a lock/key system of the type referred to first hereinbefore against manipulation, namely taking into consideration the small amount of installation space existing in the cylinder core. Furthermore, copy protection should be increased.
This object is achieved according to the invention with a lock/key system, comprising a lock cylinder, in the lock cylinder housing of which a cylinder core is rotatably mounted, which has a keyway for introducing a flat or reversible key which is provided with longitudinal profiling on the side faces of the key shank, in that a milled portion starting from the key back is provided in the key shank, a bead-like control member mounted on a spindle oriented in the longitudinal direction of the key shank is arranged so as to be rotatable in the milled portion, the bore of the bead-like control member, which receives the spindle, is dimensioned such that the bead-like control member can move with play about the spindle and radially to the spindle, laterally to the key way a bore, parallel to the key shank plane, is provided in the cylinder core, in which bore a spring-loaded, dumbbell-like feeler pin can be displaced by cooperating with the bead-like control member, the feeler pin cooperates with a blocking pin which is displaceable perpendicularly thereto, which can be pressed by the dumbbell-like heads of the feeler pin, upon the displacement thereof, into a locking-bar groove in the lock cylinder housing, in order to prevent the rotation of the cylinder core, while the blocking pin can be pressed out of the locking-bar groove upon rotation of the cylinder core if the land between the dumbbell heads of the feeler pin faces the blocking pin.
Preferable developments will become apparent from the dependent claims.
In relation to the prior art it should be pointed out that the arrangement of movable elements in the key shank (WO 2009/012541 Al, WO 03/064795 Al, WO 02/42582 Al, DE 102 20 078 B3) is known, as is the configuration of feeler pins or blocking pins in dumbbell form (DE 3014183 Al, WO 93/12314 Al, EP 0569997 A2).
The solution according to the invention has a number of advantages.
For example, in particular the bead-like control member can be introduced at different positions in the key (close to the key back). This solution is very largely independent of the profile, and can thus also be used for reversible keys.
The system is furthermore largely secured against manipulation, and it is of particular significance that copying is made substantially more difficult, because special tools and methods are required for example for producing the control-member arrangement and control-member function, and these are not available with conventional copying by cutting.
The invention will be explained in greater detail below with reference to an example of embodiment.
Therein:
Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of a key with the bead-like control member,
Fig. la is a cross-section along A-A,
Fig. 2 shows a key partially introduced into a lock cylinder,
Fig. 2a and 2b are sections along B-B or C-C, respectively,
Fig. 3 and 3a are a section along D-D in Fig 3.
In the key 1, from the key back there is a milled portion 13, in which the bead-like control member 2 is located on a spindle 3 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the key shank. The diameter in the bore of the bead-like control member is considerably greater than the spindle diameter, so that the control member can turn, and move freely radially.
In the cylinder core 4, a guide track 5 is milled in from "above", along which the beadlike control member is guided when the key is introduced.
The paracentric profile features guide the bead-like control member as far as an - in the upper region - conical, dumbbell-like feeler pin 6, which is then depressed by the beadlike control member when the key is inserted.
Since the paracentric profile features are not completely cut away, a wave shape of the guide track results, as can be recognised in Figure 2a.
Figures 2 to 2b: the key is not fully introduced. The conical feeler pin 6 is pressed by a spring 8 "upwards" onto the lock cylinder housing (Figure 2b).
In this position, the feeler pin 6, which is formed like a dumbbell - with dumbbell heads 17 and land 16 - blocks the blocking pin 7, which in the locking-bar groove 9 of the lock cylinder housing 10 prevents rotation of the core.
If the key is fully introduced (Figures 3 and 3a), then the bead-like control member 2 is deflected by the milled guide track 5 such that it presses the feeler pin 6 downwards via the conical end thereof.
As a result, the blocking pin 7 is released, that is to say that the blocking pin 7 can press into the land 16 of the dumbbell-like feeler pin 6 present between the dumbbell heads 17 and hence the cylinder core 4 upon rotation of the core.
Owing to the inclines 11,12 between the lower dumbbell head and land 16, the blocking pin 7 is brought back into its blocking position (Figure 2b) when the key 1 is pulled out.
In the example of embodiment illustrated, only one bead-like control member has been shown.
Security can be further increased by a multiple arrangement with a corresponding plurality of feeler pins and the blocking pins which naturally belong to them.
