Claims (6)
1. Brassica-plante eller en celle, en del, et frø eller et afkom deraf, der er kendetegnet ved, at den omfatter mindst tre mutante FATB-alleler i dens genom, som danner frøolie, hvor frøolien har mindre end 7 vægt-% mættede fedtsyrer baseret på den totale mængde af fedtsyrer i frøolien, hvor de mutante FATB-alleler er mutante alleler af et gen, der koder for et funktionelt FATB-protein, hvor det funktionelle FATB-qen omfatter et nukleinsyremolekyle, der er udvalgt fra gruppen, der består af: et nukleinsyremolekyle der omfatter mindst 90 % sekvensidentitet med SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 5, SEQ ID NO: 7, SEQ ID NO: 9 eller SEQ ID NO: 11; og - et nukleinsyremolekyle, der koder for en aminosyresekvens, der omfatter mindst 90 % sekvensidentitet med SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 6, SEQ ID NO: 8, SEQ ID NO: 10 eller SEQ ID NO: 12, hvor de mutante FATB-alleler omfatter et muteret DNA-område, der består af et eller flere indsatte, deleterede eller substituerede nukleotider sammenlignet med et tilsvarende vildtype-DNA-område i det funktionelle FATB-qen, og hvor de mutante FATB-alleler koder for et ikke-funktionelt protein, der ikke har nogen acyl-ACP-thioesteraseaktivitet in vivo, eller ikke koder for et protein.

Brassica-plante eller en celle, en del, et frø eller et afkom deraf ifølge krav 1, hvor de mutante FATB-alleler er udvalgt fra gruppen, der består af: - en mutant FATB-allel, der omfatter en deletion af et FATB-qen, der har sekvensen ifølge SEQ ID NO: 13; - en mutant FATB-allel, der omfatter en deletion af et FATB-qen, der har sekvensen ifølge SEQ ID NO: 15; - en mutant FATB-allel, der omfatter en deletion af et FATB-qen, der har sekvensen ifølge SEQ ID NO: 21; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 13, hvor g i position 279 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 13, hvor g i position 333 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 13, hvor g i position 348 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 15, hvor g i position 282 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 15, hvor c i position 406 er substitueret med t; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 17, hvor c i position 845 er substitueret med t; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 19, hvor g i position 668 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 21, hvor c i position 235 er substitueret med t; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 21, hvor c i position 331 er substitueret med t; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 21, hvor g i position 336 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 13, hvor g i position 502 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 13, hvor g i position 587 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 15, hvor g i position 505 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 15, hvor g i position 504 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 19, hvor g i position 498 er substitueret med a; et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 21, hvor g i position 581 er substitueret med a; og et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge SEQ ID NO: 23, hvor g i position 508 er substitueret med a.
3. Plante ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor frøolien har lig med eller mindre end 3,5 vægt-% mættede fedtsyrer, især palmitinsyre og/eller stearinsyre, baseret på den totale mængde af fedtsyrer i frøolien.
4. Plante ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor planten er en Brassica-oliefrøart, fortrinsvis Brassica napus, Brassica juncea eller Brassica rapa.
5. Fremgangsmåde til produktion af frøolie, der omfatter trinene høst af frø fra en Brassica-plante, der omfatter mindst tre mutante FALB-alleler ifølge krav 1 eller 2 i dens genom, og ekstraktion af olien fra frøene.
6.
