Abstract

In a final disposal process for electronic equipment incorporating a liquid crystal display, the liquid crystal display is selective melted with other metals at a temperature of between 900 and 1400C. The liquid crystals bind non-noble metals that are then separated from noble metals. The liquid crystals substitute in part for prior art sand.
