Abstract

A biomedical electrode comprises a conducting gel member, a carrier material which covers the gel member, and an electrical connection element. The skin side of the carrier material (1) is planar and joined to a planar base (7). The gel is applied to the skin side of the base. Gel member broadening is limited by the outer contour of the fleece type base. The skin side of the electrode has a removable covering.
