Abstract

A device on the die-lip annular gap (20) of an extruder head is described, which device makes it possible to set or vary the size of the annular gap between the inner lip part (3) and the outer lip part (4) to the desired thickness of the material web to be extruded, without any need to interrupt the operation of hauling off the extrudate and without any need to cut off the tubular extrudate behind its outlet point before it is deposited on the cooling mandrel (10). This improvement is achieved according to the invention by the outer die lip (4) being equipped with a releasable connection, which permits a hydraulic displacement of the outer die lip part in relation to the inner die lip part. <IMAGE>
