Nach Lösen der Schrauben 16, 17 werden die Schilde 10, 11 um die Rollenbolzen 3, 6 so eingestellt, daß die Heizbänder 24, 25 mit ihren parallelen Schleifen,-enden unter leichtem Druck genau aufeinianderliegen. Sodann wird die obere Rolle 1 wieder angehoben, die Schutzstreifen durch die Bandführungshülse gezogen und die Bandführungeini 26, 27 zurückgeschwenkt. Nach Herunterlassen der oberen Rolle ι und Einlaufenlassen der Schutzstreifen 28, 29 ist die Maschine betriebsbereit (Fig. 2). Nach Einschalten des Heizstromes für die beiden Heizbänder 24, 25 kann nach einer Wartezeit von, einigen Sekunden mit dem Arbeiten begonnen werden. Zur seitlichen Einstellung der Bandführung müssen die beiden Schrauben 49, 50 gelöst werden.
