Beschreibung; Description ;
The invention relates to an acoustic panel for forming sound-absorbing room ceilings or walls in a sandwich construction from a homogeneous carrier panel made of foamed material and a cover layer on one or both sides firmly connected to the carrier panel.
Acoustic panels of this type have been known for a long time and are often used for sound absorption in interior rooms and the like. The material selected for the carrier panel is crucial in relation to the sound absorption level of the acoustic panel. Elastic, thermoplastic and thermosetting materials are already used on a large scale for this purpose. The coating of these carrier panels is essential, whether to achieve sufficient strength of the entire acoustic panel, especially against bending, to achieve a satisfactory decorative design, or even just to give the acoustic panel a certain degree of dirt resistance. Such a coating does not have a positive effect on the sound absorption of the acoustic panel, but rather has the opposite effect and worsens the sound insulation of such an acoustic panel.
The invention therefore has the task of designing an acoustic panel of the type described in more detail above in such a way that, while maintaining sufficient mechanical stability of the composite construction, the sound absorption is significantly improved without the need for complex additional measures.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the support plate consists of a porous, elastic resin and a surface-flexible, but otherwise stiff, porous fleece or fabric is used for the cover layer. In a preferred embodiment, the support plate consists of melamine resin. Surprisingly, it was found that the acoustic panel produced in this way has an average sound absorption level that is 15% higher than that of the pure support plate. This makes such an acoustic panel superior to the previously known combinations of composite materials for the aforementioned purpose. Nevertheless, the embodiment according to the invention has not led to a deterioration in the mechanical values, so that such acoustic panels are still well suited for assembling, for example, flat, suspended ceilings.
There are no special requirements for the cover layer. It can consist of glass, synthetic or natural fibers that are bonded together using an organic or inorganic adhesive in such a way that the porosity of the cover layer is not impaired. This type of process does not entail any special technological difficulties.
Further features of the invention, in particular with regard to the favorable and preferred dimensions of the acoustic panel, are contained in the subclaims.
Es zeigenThe invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment and the drawing.
Fig. 2 eine Akustikplatte entsprechend Fig. 1, aber mit einseitiger Deckschicht undFig. 2 an acoustic panel corresponding to Fig. 1, but with one-sided covering layer and
Fig. 3 is a diagram for the sound absorption coefficient of the acoustic panel according to the invention.
Raumwand wegweisenden Richtung.Fig. 1 shows an acoustic panel that consists of a carrier panel 1 and a cover layer 2 glued to both sides of the carrier panel 1. While the carrier panel 1 is made of foamed melamine resin, it is best to use glass fiber fleece for the cover layers 2, which are glued to the carrier panel 1 and whose fibers are also glued to one another, in such a way that the porosity of neither the carrier panel 1 nor the cover layers 2 is disturbed, so that the room air can circulate through the entire acoustic panel. In Fig. 2, only a single cover layer 2 is attached to the carrier panel 1, in the direction away from the ceiling or wall.
In the diagram in Fig. 3, the sound absorption coefficient is plotted against the sound frequency, determined by reverberation room testing according to DIN 52212. For comparison, in addition to the acoustic panel assembled according to the invention (curve I), the curve for a pure carrier panel 1 without cover layers 2 is shown (curve II).
It goes without saying that, for reasons of fire protection, the acoustic panel according to the invention must be manufactured in flame-retardant or non-flammable equipment in accordance with legal regulations if this is required.
