Bei der Destillation in Colonnen von Flüssigkeiten , die feste Stoffe mitführen oder abscheiden, oder bei der Absorption von Gasen in Colonnen, die mit einer Abscheidung oder Bildung fester Producte verbunden ist, kommt es öfters vor, dafs sich nicht nur die Ein- und Auslauföffhungen der Ueberfallrohre, sondern auch der Raum zwischen der Haube, insbesondere dem Haubenrande und dem Beckenboden so mit Schlamm oder mit festen amorphen oder krystaüinischen Theilen anfüllen, sogar zuweilen förmlich inkrustiren und zuwachsen, so dafs die Colonne zu functioniren aufhört und gereinigt werden mufs. ■ Um derartigen Störungen speciell bei Ueberfallrohren vorzubeugen, dient meine durch Patent Nr. 88953 geschützte Reinigungsvorrichtung.
