Fig. 1 zeigt in perspektivischer Darstellung ein elektrisches Kochfeld mit einer Platte 1 aus glaskeramischem Material, die eingefaßt ist von einem leicht erhabenen Rahmen 2. Dieses Kochfeld ist einsetzbar in einen entsprechenden Ausschnitt einer Küchen-Arbeitsplatte. Unterhalb der Platte 1 sind mehrere, nicht weiter dargestellte elektrische Heizkörper angeordnet. Zur Markierung oder Kennzeichnung der entsprechenden Kochflächen unmittelbar oberhalb dieser Heizkörper, z.B. Strahlungsheizkörper ist auf der Stellfläche der Platte 1 ein Dekor aufgebracht in Form von kreisrunden oder ovalen Linien, welche anzeigen, wo sich die zugeordneten Heizkörper und entsprechend deren Kochflächen befinden. Mit 3 sind zwei kreisrunde Kochflächen, mit 4 und 5 zwei konzentrische Kochflächen und mit 6 und 7 eine ovale Kochfläche «&tgr;&igr; Verbindung mit einer kleineren runden Kochfläche bezeichnet. Wie in Fig. 2 verdeutlicht, sind an den Stellen des vorgenannten Dekors bzw. de* Dekorlinien in der Stellfläche der Platte 1 nutförmige Vertiefungen 9 z.B. durch Laserstrahlen, also durch Materialabtrag angeordnet. Diese Vertiefungen 9 sind zumindest zum Teil ausgefüllt mit einem gegenüber dem übrigen Plattenmaterial kontrastierenden Dekormaterial, vorzugsweise einer druckfähigen Dekorfarbe.
