Mikroorganismus mit einer verminderten Adaption an eine spezielle Umgebung, der durch ein Verfahren erhalten wurde, das die Schritte umfaßt:(1) Erzeugen einer Vielzahl von Mikroorganismen, von denen jeder unabhängig voneinander durch Insertionsinaktivierung eines Gens mit einer Nukleinsäure, die eine einzigartige Markersequenz aufweist, mutiert wurde, so daß jede Mutante eine unterschiedliche Markersequenz enthält, oder Klone dieser Mikroorganismen;(IA) gegebenenfalls Entfernen von Auxotrophen aus der Vielzahl von Mutanten, die in Stufe 1) erzeugt wurden;(2) Bereitstellen einer individuell aufbewahrten Probe einer jeden nach Stufe (1) hergestellten Mutante sowie Bereitstellen einer individuell aufbewahrten Nukleinsäure, die die einzigartige Markersequenz aus jeder individuellen Mutante aufweist;(3) Einbringen einer Vielzahl von Mutanten, die gemäß Stufe (1) erzeugt wurden, in die spezielle Umgebung, und Wachsenlassen derjenigen Mikroorganismen, die in der Lage dazu sind, in der genannten Umgebung;(4) Gewinnen der Mikroorganismen aus der genannten Umgebung oder eines ausgewählten Teils davon, und Isolieren der Nukleinsäure aus den gewonnenen Mikroorganismen;(5) Vergleichen aller Markersequenzen in der Nukleinsäure, die in Stufe 4 isoliert wurde, mit der einzigartigen Markersequenz einer jeden individuellen Mutante, die gemäß Stufe (2) aufbewahrt wurde;(6) Auswählen einer individuellen Mutante, die keine der gemäß Stufe 4 isolierten Markersequenzen enthält; und(6A) gegebenenfalls Feststellen, ob die in Stufe (6) ausgewählte Mutante auxotroph ist.2. Gen, das es einem Mikroorganismus ermöglicht, sich an eine spezielle Umgebung anzupassen, das nach einem Verfahren erhalten wurde, das die Schritte umfaßt:(1) Erzeugen einer Vielzahl von Mikroorganismen, von denen jeder unabhängig voneinander durch Insertionsinaktivierung eines Gens mit einer Nukleinsäure, die eine einzigartige Markersequenz aufweist, mutiert wurde, so daß jede Mutante eine unterschiedliche Markersequenz enthält, oder Klone dieser Mikroorganismen;(IA) gegebenenfalls Entfernen von Auxotrophen aus der Vielzahl von Mutanten, die in Stufe 1) erzeugt wurden;(2) Bereitstellen einer individuell aufbewahrten Probe einer jeden nach Stufe (1) hergestellten Mutante sowie Bereitstellen einer individuell aufbewahrten Nukleinsäure, die die einzigartige Markersequenz aus jeder individuellen Mutante aufweist;(3) Einbringen einer Vielzahl von Mutanten, die gemäß Stufe (1) erzeugt wurden, in die spezielle Umgebung, und Wachsenlassen derjenigen Mikroorganismen, die in der Lage dazu sind, in der genannten Umgebung;(4) Gewinnen der Mikroorganismen aus der genannten Umgebung oder eines ausgewählten Teils davon, und Isolieren der Nukleinsäure aus den gewonnenen Mikroorganismen;(5) Vergleichen aller Markersequenzen in der Nukleinsäure, die in Stufe 4 isoliert wurde, mit der einzigartigen Markersequenz einer jeden individuellen Mutante, die gemäß Stufe (2) aufbewahrt wurde;(6) Auswählen einer individuellen Mutante, die keine der gemäß Stufe 4 isolierten Markersequenzen enthält; und(6A) gegebenenfalls Feststellen, ob die in Stufe (6) ausgewählte Mutante auxotroph ist;(7) Isolieren des insertionsinaktivierten Gens aus der in Stufe (6) selektierten Mutante;(8) Isolieren des entsprechenden Wildtyp-Gens aus einem Wildtyp-Mikroorganismus unter Verwendung des insertionsinaktivierten Gens, das in Stufe (7) isoliert wurde, als eine Sonde.. Mikroorganismus mit einer Mutation in einem Gen, wie es in Anspruch 2 definiert ist.Ii)Oo-OU4. Mikroorganismus nach Anspruch 1 oder 3 zur Verwendung in einem Impfstoff.5. Impfstoff mit einem Mikroorganismus nach Anspruch 1 oder 3 und einem pharmazeutisch annehmbaren Träger dafür.6. Gen nach Anspruch 2, das aus dem Salmonella typhimurium Genom isoliert wurde und unter stringenten Bedingungen mit der in Figur 5 gezeigten Sequenz hybridisiert.7. Gen nach Anspruch 2, das aus dem Salmonella typhimurium Genom isoliert wurde und unter stringenten Bedigungen mit einer in Figur 6 gezeigten Sequenz hybridisiert.8. Polypeptid, für das ein Gen nach irgendeinem der Ansprüche 2, 6 oder 7 kodiert.9. Verfahren zur Identifizierung einer Verbindung, die die Fähigkeit eines Mikroorganismus vermindert, sich an eine spezielle Umgebung anzupassen, das die Stufe der Selektion einer Verbindung umfaßt, die die Funktion eines Gens nach irgendeinem der Ansprüche 2, 6 oder 7 oder eines Polypeptide nach Anspruch 8 stört.10. Verbindung, die nach dem Verfahren von Anspruch 9 identifizierbar ist.11. Verbindung nach Anspruch 10, bei der die spezielle Umgebung ein Wirtsorganismus ist.12. Verbindung nach Anspruch 11, bei der Wirtsorganismus eine Pflanze ist.13. Verbindung nach Anspruch 11, bei der der Wirtsorganismus ein Tier ist.14. Verwendung einer Verbindung nach irgendeinem der Ansprüche11 bis 13 zur Behandlung einer Infektion des genannten Wirtsorganismus mit dem genannten Mikroorganismus.15. Molekül, das selektiv mit einem Gen nach irgendeinem der Ansprüche 2, 6 oder 7 oder einem Nukleinsäureprodukt davon wechselwirkt und die Funktion davon wesentlich inhibiert.16. Molekül nach Anspruch 15, das eine Antisense-Nukleinsäure oder ein Antisense-Nukleinsäurederivat ist.17. Molekül nach Anspruch 15 oder 16, das ein Antisense-Oligonukleotid ist.18. Molekül nach irgendeinem der Ansprüche 15 bis 17 zur Verwendung in der Medizin.19. Verwendung einer wirksamen Menge eines Moleküls oder einer Verbindung nach Anspruch 11 oder 15, wobei das genannte Gen in einem Mikroorganismus oder einem nahen Verwandten dieses Mikroorganismus vorhanden ist, zur Herstellung eines Medikaments zur Behandlung eines Wirts, der an einer Infektion mit dem genannten Mikroorganismus leidet oder dafür empfindlich ist.20. Pharmazeutische Zusammensetzung, die ein Molekül oder eine Verbindung nach Anspruch 13 oder 15 sowie einen pharmazeutisch akzeptablen Träger dafür aufweist.21. Die VGC2 DNA von Salmonella typhimurium oder ein Teil davon oder eine Variante der genannten DNA oder eine Variante eines Teils davon.22. Bakterienmutante, bei der, wenn das Bakterium normalerweise ein Gen enthält, das einem Gen in VGC2 gleich oder äquivalent ist, dieses Gen in der genannten Bakterienmutante mutiert ist oder fehlt.i-j JJ :■.■23. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Bakteriums nach Anspruch 22.24. Verwendung einer Bakterienmutante nach Anspruch 22 in einem Impfstoff.25. Pharmazeutische Zusammensetzung, die ein Bakterium nach Anspruch 22 sowie einen pharmazeutisch akzeptablen Träger dafür aufweist.26. Polypeptid, für das VGC2 DNA von Salmonella typhimurium kodiert, oder ein Teil davon, oder eine Variante des genannten Polypeptids oder eine Variante eines Teils davon.27. Verfahren zur Identifizierung einer Verbindung, die die Fähigkeit eines Bakteriums, zu infizieren oder in einem Wirt eine Krankheit auszulösen, vermindert, das die Stufe der Auswahl einer Verbindung, die die Funktion eines Gens in VGC2 nach Anspruch 21 oder eines Polypeptids nach Anspruch 26 stört, umfaßt.28. Verbindung, die nach dem Verfahren von Anspruch 27 identifiziert werden kann.29. Molekül, das selektiv mit einem Gen in VGC2 von Salmonella typhimurium oder einem Nukleinsäureprodukt wechselwirkt und die Funktion davon wesentlich inhibiert.30. Molekül oder Verbindung nach Anspruch 2 8 oder 29 zur Verwendung in der Medizin.
