The ridge spring dowel connection according to the invention is characterized in that the connection consists of one or more ridge spring dowels (1) glued to the shaft (12) and round in cross-section, and one or more inserted ridge grooves (21/22), each of which is manufactured with an identical ridge angle.

The ridge spring dowel connection is a metal-free and, when the ridge groove is used from above (21), concealed connection. When the ridge groove is used from the side with a guide at right angles downwards (22), subsequent insertion into rigid structures is possible.

According to the invention, the two components to be connected are connected _indirectly , namely by the ridge spring dowel (1), the shaft (12) of which is glued into a cylindrical bore in one component and the ridge spring head (11) of which engages in the ridge groove (21/22) to be milled in the other component. The ridge spring dowels (1), preferably made of elastic ash wood, are manufactured on a copy lathe in line with a fitting gauge, in identical sizes. The shaft (12) can be glued into a cylindrical bore on the face of solid wood and flat across the grain of the wood.

The inserted groove (2i/22) is manufactured with a groove fiber which is larger in diameter and therefore also larger in height than the groove spring head (ii) . This leaves the groove base (222) free in the connection. The desired fit, loose or tight, can be varied by the milling depth of the groove (21/22). In addition, the cutter can still be used for the groove spring dowel connection after grinding, which makes it slightly smaller. For the groove (2l) inserted from above, the cutter also has two cutting edges on the front and a small centering. The hand router, with the help of which the inserted groove (21/22) is milled, is guided either by a side stop or by a copy ring and template, or by adjustment in the case of stationary routers.

According to the invention, it is a connection for solid wood, namely for long wood to long wood and long wood to cross wood, whereby the ridge spring dowel connection can also be used as a flush corner connection. As with the traditional ridge connection, a cross wood to cross wood connection is only possible as a T-shaped connection with appropriate pre-wood.

To ensure good detachability, the burr groove and the burr spring head should be oiled or waxed.

Japanese sickle tenon joints with external connectors are known, which are hand-made and have a rectangular cross-section. Also known from the same source (Wolfram Graubner, Holzverbindungen, Stuttgart: DVA, 1986, ISBN 3-421-02850-8, page 66/68) is a machine-made sickle tenon joint without external connectors.

All of the above-mentioned connection techniques are either not concealed or/and very complex to produce. The tensile forces are often transferred to one side on the inside. The present invention is based on the task of being able to quickly produce a large number of metal-free connections, not only as flush corner connections but also in linear, T- or cross-shaped connections, which can be released at any time, are invisible and require a short assembly time. This task is solved in a generic device by the characterizing features of claim 1. Because the user, be it a craftsman, series manufacturer or hobbyist, is provided with inexpensive spring dowels with the corresponding milling cutter through series production, the spring dowel connection is superior in terms of cost-effectiveness to all known removable, metal-free and concealed or non-concealed connections.

The components of the inventive ridge spring dowel connection as shown in Fig. 1 and 2 are a ridge spring dowel (i) with a round cross-section, with a conical ridge spring head (11) and a cylindrical shaft (12) and a short ridge groove (21) inserted from above or a ridge groove (22) finely set at the side and directed downwards at a right angle. Fig. 3 shows the connection as a bed connection, namely three ridge spring dowels, which are to be glued with the shaft into cylindrical ¹ holes in the bed side, as well as three short ridge grooves (21) milled into the head or foot of the bed and inserted from above into which the ridge spring heads (11) can be guided.
