The innovation relates to a chair for disabled people, in particular a wheelchair, consisting of a base frame and a seat with a seat surface and back support that can be adjusted in height via a drive unit.

The aim of the innovation is to create a generic arrangement that allows a relatively large extension height with a small stroke of an actuator in a simple manner and ensures a retrofittable design as a compact and flat arrangement.

This problem is solved in accordance with the innovation by arranging at least two angle levers to form a parallelogram and, in the lowered position, the arms of the two angle levers are each approximately parallel to the seat and back support, and the angle levers are fixed at a distance on the seat and on the base frame above the seat via articulation points, with a variable-length actuator engaging between the base frame and an arm of an angle lever for adjusting the seat.

This has the advantage of creating a relatively flat arrangement with an elevator-like raising of the seat, which works with single-acting actuators and can therefore also be operated with hand pumps in the case of hydraulic units.

To stabilize the arrangement, it is proposed that a parallelogram consisting of angle levers is arranged on each side of the seat.

A favorable embodiment is created by arranging the angle levers next to each other to form a parallelogram and the articulation points approximately one above the other on the seat and on the base frame.

In order to ensure an advantageous design of the anchoring points, it is proposed that a holder be arranged that extends to the area below the seat, to which the arms of the angle levers are hinged, which engage at a distance.

A further alternative embodiment is formed by arranging the angle levers next to each other to form a parallelogram and the articulation points on the seat and the base frame approximately in a horizontal plane.

In order to provide favorable support for the seat in the lowered position, at least one arm of the angle lever running approximately parallel to the seat is arranged as a support for the seat in the lowered position.

An advantageous arrangement is formed by arranging the actuator as a hydraulic cylinder.

According to the design according to Fig. 1, articulation points 9 and 10 of the arms 31 and 41 of the angle levers 3, 4 are provided one above the other on a holder 11 arranged below the seat surface 6. The arms 32 and 42 of the angle levers 3, 4 are provided one above the other via articulation points 12 and 13 on the base frame 1. This arrangement makes it possible to adjust the height of the seat 5 with a relatively short stroke of the hydraulic cylinder 8 when the angle levers 3, 4 are pivoted via an extendable hydraulic cylinder 8. The hydraulic cylinder 8 acts via an articulation point 14 on the base frame 1 and an articulation point 15 on the arm 31 of the angle lever 3.

In the further embodiment according to Fig. 2, the angle levers 3 and 4 are also arranged via articulation points 9, 10 and 12, 13, which each lie approximately on a horizontal plane.
