Dieses neue Verfahren besteht darin, daß zunächst die auf einem Dorn aufgewickelten, sich gegenseitig nicht berührendenWindungen durch Hindurchleiten eine' elektrischen Stromes in bekannter Weise mit einer lückenlosen isolierenden Oxydhaut versehen werden, worauf die Windungen durch Druck in der Achsrichtung des Dornes kräftig zusammengepreßt werden und noch während des Zusammenpressens durch Hindurchleiten eines elektrischen Stromes erhitzt und anschließend abgekühlt werden. Durch dieses Erhitzen und anschließende Abkühlen, durch das der Werkstoff des Hie ewiderstandes gewissermaßen gehärtet wird, wird ein federndes Zusammenhalten ,der Windungen :erreicht, so daß die Windungen anschließend durch Preßrolllen o. dgl. zu einem flachen Band umgewalzt oder umgepreßt werden können.The invention now proposes: a simple manufacturing process, in which special interlayers, thickeners and the like are unnecessary. Hierauf wird durch geeignete Pre1:'-backen 3 o. dgl. die Drahtspule (Abb. a) zusammengepreßt, bis die einzelnen Windung gen aneinanderliegen. Während die Spule noch in zusammengepreßtem Zustand gehalten wird, wird sein starker Strom durch dieselbe geleitet, wodurch sich die Spule erhitzt. Anschließend wird die Spule abgekühlt , wodurch gewissermaßen eine Härtung des Drahtes eintritt, die zur Folge hat, daß .die einzelnen Windungen in federndem Zusammenhalt bleiben. Die Spule wird dann entsprechend den in den Abb. 3 bis 5 dargestellten Arbeitsvorgängen flachgedrückt. Der fertige Heizwiderstand ist in den Abb. 6 und 7 in zwei Ansichten dargestellt.
