Description
Use of nickel-chromium-iron alloys for items of the highest order Heat resistance Addition to patent 73o 63o The invention relates to the use of alloys for the production of such objects that, at high temperatures, d. H. 500 to 900 ° C and possibly above, have the highest heat resistance have to. According to patent 73o 63o, alloys are used for this purpose which 30 to 70%, in particular 50 to 70% nickel, 10 to 25% chromium, 57 to 1%, in particular 2o to 50% o iron, 3 to 12% molybdenum or Tungsten, o to 40000 manganese, o to 2% o Silicon, o, 3 to 2o% of one or more of the elements tantalum, niobium, thorium, Titanium included.
It has now been found that an increase in the heat resistance of Alloys containing the above amounts of nickel, chromium, iron and molybdenum contained, also occurs when one uses the elements tantalum, niobium, thorium and titanium completely or partially replaced by zirconium, the zirconium content expediently o, I up to 6% 'o. It has also been found that the addition of one or several of the elements tantalum, niobium, thorium, titanium or zirconium to be highly heat-resistant Alloys based on nickel, chromium, iron and molybdenum also come up when one lowers the molybdenum content up to o, 5% o, and finally also when the nickel content is less than 3o% but not less than 2o%. The alloys are included generally practically free of carbon, i. H. appropriately they do not contain more than 0.04% carbon.
