Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur nicht vulkanisierenden Kautschuklösungen Die- Herstellung heiß. vulkanisierter, nahtlos getauchter Artikel geschah bisher in der Weise, daß man Dispersionen von Kautschuk in Wasser oder organischen Lösungsmitteln. verwendete, die außer Schwefel, Zinkoxyd, evtl. .auch Stearin @, ä'ure einen mäßig starken Vulkanisationsbeschl:euniger @enthielten. Nach dem Tauchen und Antrocknen der Lösungen an den Formen mußten bisher die Artikel in eine benzolische Lösung von Ultrabeschleunigern eingetaucht werden, da ohne diese die Vulkanisation bei möglichst niedriger Temperatur nicht möglich ist. Der Zusatz der Ultrabeschleuniger konnte deswegen seither erst in diesem Fabrikationsstadium erfolgen, weil Kautschuklösungen, die außer den bisher genannten Zusätzen noch Ultrabeschleuniger enthalten, infolge beginnender Vulkanisation innerhalb weniger Tage gelieren und unbrauchbar werden. Dieses Verfahren, das an sich in vielen Fällen befriedigende Resultate ergibt, hat folgende Naschteile: Die Wandstärke der @erzeugharen Artikel ist begrenzt, weil der Ultrabeschleuniger von außen hineindiffundieren muß. Bei zu großer Dicke der Artikel dringt der Beschleuniger entweder nicht hindurch, oder man muß, die Tauchdauer so verlängern, daß die urvulkanisierte Kautschukhaut durch Quellung zu weich- wird und sich deformiert.
