Abstract

A wire brush for surface preparation e.g. for deburring machined surfaces, has bundles of parallel wire bristles secured to the brush head with resin. The bristles are set at 25 to 35 degrees to the rotating axis (3) of the brush, to work the edges of the surface profiles. The bristles (4) can be straight wires or wavy type of wires, which provide a sprung effect. Bundles of bristles are held in the resin and after setting of same the ends of the bundles are cut to form a flat surface.
