Abstract

A procedure for generating a gas/droplet flow consists of accelerating a gas flow in a gas-dynamic nozzle and while it is accelerating adding a dispersed liquid flow. The resulting two-phase flow is then accelerated in the nozzle, the pressure (P) at the input end of which and the relative concentration (g) of liquid in the two-phase flow are determined by set relationships, where P x g is not more than 0.57 GPa; P is at least 0.5 MPa, and g = Gl/Gg where Gl is the mass flow of liquid and Gg is the mass flow of gas. The gas flow for the procedure is created by at least one turbo-compressor feeding a gas-dynamic nozzle with a mixing chamber for the liquid (water) and gas, and a shaped nozzle channel (7) with its length at least five times its critical cross-section.
