Description
Process for the transfer of bacterial preparations, bacterial extracts, Toxins, sera and the like in durable, easily penetrating the skin and mucous membranes Products The present invention relates to a process for transferring of bacterial preparations used for healing and immunization, bacterial extracts, Toxins, sera and the like in durable, easily penetrating skin and mucous membranes Products. The starting materials mentioned come from the skin and the mucous membranes either are not allowed to pass through at all or only in small amounts, are in accordance with the present Invention converted into a form in which it now covers the outer skin and the mucous membranes able to penetrate easily and in abundance.
Beispiele i. The process consists essentially in the fact that the bacterial preparations, Sera, etc. in the dried state with suitable amounts of sodium benzoate intimately mixed, whereupon this mixture in a manner known per se in suitable administrable Can be brought into shape, e.g. B. in the form of lozenges, tablets, pills, Capsules, ointments, Schiittelmixturen etc. The products obtained stand out first characterized by an almost unlimited shelf life, but they also have the valuable physical property, the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and also the outer skin to penetrate, so that an introduction of the starting materials in question in the bloodstream and the body fluids are not required, but the administration can be done per os. Examples i. The bacterial lawn of one or more agar cultures of mouse typhusb, acilli was washed away, killed and dried, whereupon one the dry powder ten times its weight or even greater Quantities of dry sodium benzoate intimately mixed. The products received can be kept for a long time without decomposition. The mixture was put into the stomach of mice incorporated. After repeating six times, the mice became the control animals fed with live mouse typhus bacilli. All pretreated mice remained on Life, the animals that had not been pretreated all succumbed to the infection. The feeding of the preparation has triggered immunity.
a. The same oral treatment with a corresponding change in the Quantities were determined by means of killed DysenteTie and typhus bacilli in rabbits performed. It turned out that those with the from dysentery pathogens and preparations made from sodium benzenoate were immune to fed rabbits. The typhus rabbits were found to have been killed by feeding the rabbits from Typhoid bacilli and sodium benzoate produced a large accumulation of specific protective substances in the serum. So it became an effect which was previously only achieved by injection, but never from the gastrointestinal tract could be.
With the new process, substances that were previously in certain Media were insoluble, not only made easily soluble in them, but the sensitive ones Medicinal and immune substances are unexpectedly obtained by mixing with benzoic acid Sodium converted into such a stable form that it can be stored for a long time without decomposition tolerate. The healing and immunizing effect is not weakened in any way, but on the contrary. increased by the fact that the new preparations as a result of the content of benzoate are able to penetrate the skin and mucous membranes. It is well known Lighten bacterial suspensions by adding benzoic acid salts. New in comparison but it is also the statement that preparations or extracts of bacteria are also available Toxins, S, eTa and similar medicinal substances in the dry state by mixing with sodium benzoate can be converted into a storage-stable form in which it also contains the new physical Preserved the ability to penetrate the cells of the skin and mucous membranes.
