Abstract
Process for cleaning light metal alloy surfaces, in which the surface is passivated by an oxidation stage, includes a treatment stage in a solution (a) containing phosphoric acid and an alcohol, in which the surface is connected as anode. An Independent claim is also included for a method of coating a light metal alloy surface, in which the surface is first cleaned and passivated as above and then coated.
