Description

Die Erfindung ermöglicht das Betreiben von Dieselmotoren mit Fet­ ten. Fette sind bei Normaltemperatur fest und können in den Hohl­ räumen der Kraftstoffanlage nicht fließen. Das Problem wird ge­ löst, indem der Kraftstofftank und die Zu- und Ableitungen des Kraftstoffes Fett mittels des umlaufenden Kühlmittels erwärmt werden.
Die Erfindung erschließt die Möglichkeit, den Bereich der Fette als Energiequelle für Dieselmotoren zu nutzen. Hier ist besonders an pflanzliche Fette zu denken, die bei der Herstellung von frit­ tierten Lebensmitteln in großer Menge anfallen und als Abfall be­ handelt werden.
Die Erfindung kann einen Abfallstoff zum Treibstoff auswerten. Sie ermöglicht die Absenkung des Mineralölverbrauchs und die Reduzie­ rung des CO 2-Ausstoßes im Sinne des Naturkreislaufs.
Der kalte Motor wird wie bisher mit Dieselkraftstoff gestartet. Nach Erwärmung des Kühlmittels verflüssigt sich das Fett im Tank und in den erwärmten Kraftstoffleitungen. Die Schieber 5 und 6 erlauben das Umschalten auf die Kraftstoffe Fett oder Diesel und steuern den Rückfluß über die Leckölleitung in einen der beiden Vorratsbehälter 1 und 2.
Über den Regler 7 wird die Menge des Kühlmittelflusses und damit die Temperatur des Treibstoffes Fett gesteuert. Vor dem Abschalten des Motors wird die Einspritzpumpe 9 über den Schieber 5 wie­ der mit Dieselkraftstoff gefüllt. Der Innenraum des Fettbehälters 3 und die erwärmten Fettleitungen 4 werden vom Kühlmittel 8 umflossen.

1. Vorrichtung zum Betreiben von Dieselmotoren mit Fetten.
2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Fettbehälter, die Zu- und Ableitungen und die Schieber mit dem Kühlmittel erwärmt werden.
