Verfahren zum Betriebe von Generatoren, die zur Vergasung der Rückstände mit ihnen zusammenarbeitender Rostfeuerungen dienen. Bei einer solchen Anlage besteht zwar für gewöhnlich die Möglichkeit, die Rostfeuerung so zu führen, daß die Rückstände mit genügend Brennbarem in den Generator kommen, dieser Vorgang wird aber bei wechselndem Betrieb nicht immer möglich sein. Schwache Rostbelastungen werden in der Regel gut ausgebrannte Rückstände ergeben und nicht ohne großen Luftüberschuß zu behandeln sein. Ersterer Umstand könnte ein Erkalten des Generators zur Folge haben, während der zweite Umstand höhere Abgasverluste bringt. Beide Nachteile werden vermieden, wenn in solchen Zeiten frischer Brennstoff in den Generator eingestreut wird.
