Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Klemmstück, welches auf den Rand der Trinkgefäfse aufgesteckt wird, zum Zwecke des Schutzes für den Mund des Trinkenden.The present invention relates to a clamping piece which is attached to the edge of the drinking vessels is attached to protect the mouth of the drinker.

Bei den einfacheren Ausfuhrungsarten, wie sie die Fig. ι und ia veranschaulichen, macht sich indessen der Uebelstand bemerkbar, dafs die im Gefäfs befindliche Flüssigkeit leicht an den seitlichen Rändern des Klemmers entlang, um dessen Wulst (über dem Gefäfsrande) herum und aufserhalb des Gefäfses auf die Kleidung des Trinkenden herunterläuft. Dies geschieht jedoch nur dann, wenn der Trinkende den Mund nicht an der Mitte des Klemmstückes ansetzt oder die Flüssigkeit, ohne anzusaugen, hineinlaufen läfst.At its lower edge the clamping piece must fit tightly under all circumstances (see α in Fig. 1 and ia), and it can also be achieved in the simplest way that the edges fit tightly everywhere on the inner surface of the vessel. Den erwähnten Uebelstand vermeidet man indessen vollständig, wenn man mit Berücksichtigung des Umstandes, dafs jede Flüssigkeit sich mit Vorliebe an scharfen Rändern hinbewegt und Abrundungen thunlichst-umgeht, den unteren Rand des Innentheiles des Klemmstückes zuschärft und von der Mitte aus nach abwärts gegen die Seitenränder hin zuspitzt (s. die Ansichten b und £>' der Fig. 2), die seitlichen Ränder dagegen ansteigend wulstartig umbördelt (s. Fig. 2 und 2a). Da man zur Herstellung einer solchen Form stärkeres Blech verwenden mufs, als zu den beiden erstbeschriebenen constructiven Ausführungen, so empfiehlt es sich, den Aufsentheil an der Rückwand des Gefäfses G. nach abwärts gegen die Mitte hin zu verjüngen, um die Federung des Klemmers zu sichern.
