Abstract

A trigger circuit for a device for protecting occupants of motor vehicles is described, having an acceleration sensor for outputting a signal which corresponds to the deceleration of the motor vehicle in the event of an impact against an obstacle, having an evaluation circuit which evaluates the output signal of the acceleration sensor, a switch which, starting from a specific value (trigger value) of the output signal of the evaluation circuit, triggers the safety device by means of a firing element, and with a self-diagnostic function for the trigger circuit with a data transmission device for outputting status information on the status of the trigger circuit and a data receiver which is connected to a fault indicator and to an intelligent interface, data pulses being sent via a signal line which is identical to the power supply line of the trigger circuit.

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Auslöseschalung für eine Insassenschutzein­ richtung in Kraftfahrzeugen gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Auslöseschaltung für eine Insassensicher­ heitsvorrichtung, die im Lenkrad, insbesondere eines Kraftfahrzeuges, eingebaut ist. Die Sicherheitsvorrichtungen können von der Art sein, wie sie in der Automobiltechnischen Zeitschrift, Jahrgang 84 (1982), Seiten 77 ff. beschrieben ist. Angesprochen sind insbesondere Gaskissen und Gurt­ strammer. Auslöseschaltungen und Prüf- bzw. Überwachungsschaltungen sind beschrieben sowohl in dieser Zeitschrift wie auch in den nachfolgend genannten Schriften, nämlich in DE-AS 22 13 977, DE-OS 22 22 038, DE-OS 24 50 235, DE-PS 24 54 424, DE-OS 26 12 215 und DE-PS 28 08 872.The invention relates to a release formwork for an occupant protection direction in motor vehicles according to the preamble of the claim. Die Schutteinrich­ tung ist z.B. als Gassackeinheit am Lenkrad befestigt und im Lenkrad über vorhandene elektrische Leitungen (z.B. Hupenleitung) mit Strom ver­ sorgt. Als Stromquelle dient insbesondere die Autobatterie 1 (z.B. 12 V Gleichstrom). Der Demodulator - in der Zeichnung im linken Teil strich­ liert umrahmt - enthält einen Stromsensor 2, der realisiert ist entwe­ der induktiv als Spule 2 a, als ohmscher Widerstand 2 b oder mit Feldplat­ ten als Hallsensor 2 c.An exemplary embodiment is described below using the drawing.
