Abstract

The machine has a unit working while suspended in the bore hole, and provided with a driven rotary tool. Clamps are extensible against the borehole wall from a guide. A mechanism moves with the tool down the hole in relation to the guide. Signal-transmission equipment supplies indicators and controls on the surface, to which the spoil is discharged. The clamping mechanism (10,14) also acts as the feed mechanism, and for at least one clamping level (AE,BE) measuring and indicating equipment is provided at the control position for the linear clamping drive (14). A separate release mechanism is also included for the latter.
