Diese Wirkung verstärkt sich mit zunehmendem Öffnungswinkel und erreicht ihr Maximum bei vollständig geöffneter Tür (in Fig. 2 oben gezeichnet), wo Anlaufkonus 6 und Gegenkonus 26 aneinander anliegen, so daß noch ein Spiel zwischen dem Endmagnet 28 und dem äußersten Ringmagnet 8 verbleibt. Der Anschlag 26, 6 begrenzt den Tür Öffnungswinkel also ohne Kontakt der Magnete 28, 8.
