Hierbei wird häufig nicht beachtet, daß die Ventilschutzkappe zur Druckaufnahme des plötzlich aus der Stahl­ flasche austretenden Gases nicht ausreichend ist. Bei einem anderen Ver­ fahren werden Stahlflaschen, deren Ventile nicht mehr zu öffnen sind, in eine Hochdruckapparatur eingebaut und danach aufgebohrt. Diese beschriebenen - sowie andere - Maßnahmen zur Entleerung solcher mit defekten nicht mehr zu öffnenden Ventile ausgerüsteten Stahlflaschen, ent­ sprechen nicht den heutigen technischen Regeln und sind weder sicher­ heits- noch umweltbewußt und mit gravierenden Nachteilen behaftet.In practice, gas-filled, pressurized steel bottles, the valves of which cannot be opened, are often emptied improperly handled. Mittels eines Handgriffes 14 kann die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung über den Dichtring 12 gegen die Stahlflasche so angepreßt werden, daß Vorrichtung und Stahlflasche gasdicht miteinander verbunden sind. An dem Gehäuse befindet sich ein Rohr 15 mit einem dazu gehörenden Flansch 16. Über das Rohr ist durch das Gehäuse hindurch eine Verbindung zum Innenraum des Gehäuses hergestellt. Das Gas kann - soweit es nicht umweltfreundlich ist - über eine Wasch­ kolonne, die mittels einer Rohrleitung an den Flansch angeschraubt ist, entsorgt werden. Der ausströmende Gasstrom ist jederzeit durch Wiedereinschrauben des defekten Ventile zu unterbrechen.
