Description

Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Eisen im Kupolofen unter alleiniger Verarbeitung eisenhaltiger Schlacken. Um aus eisenhaltigen Schlacken das Eisen zu gewinnen, hat man die Schlacken im Eisenhüttenbetrieb in größeren Mengen den Erzen zugeschlagen oder auch wohl für sich allein, in gleicher Weise wie kieselsäurereiche Erze verhüttet. Diese Eisenerzeugung unter alleiniger Verarbeitung von Schlacken erwies sich jedoch nur für hochwertigere Schlacken mit entsprechend hohem. Eisengehalt als wirtschaftlich und setzte überdies das Vorhandensein eines Hochofenbetriebes voraus, so daß manche Schlacken, wie z. B. die Bessemer End- und Auswurfschlacken, obschon sie recht erhebliche Eisemnengen enthalten, unausgenutzt auf die Halden wanderten. Zweck der Erfindung ist, diese Eisenmengen dadurch nutzbar zu machen, daß man die sie enthalten, den Schlacken für sich allein im Kupolofen, somit an Ort und Stelle auf Eisen zu verarbeiten imstande ist. Da das Eisen aus diesen Schlacken nur schwer zu reduzieren ist, so würden sich, wenn man sie im Kupolofen, der wärmetechnisch ungünstiger als der Hochofen ausgestattet ist, für sich allein auf Eisen unter Verwendung von Gebläsewind und normalem Ausschmelzen mit Koks- und Kalksteinzusätzen verarbeiten wollte, Verstopfungen des Ofenquerschnitts einstellen-, die zu Explosionen im Ofen und der Windleitung und damit zu erheblichen Gefahren für die Bedienungsmannschaft führen.Process for the production of iron in the cupola furnace with sole processing ferrous slags.
