Abstract

1. A tubular film bag package (1) of a flat sheet of plastics material or the like weldable or bondable material, having a longitudinal seam (2) forming a tube in one of the two opposite walls of the bag, a filling space (6) bounded at the bottom, and after filling at the top, by a transverse welding seam (4, 7) in each case, as well as an upper marginal region (8) which is free of filling material and which is bounded at the underside by the head seam (7) of the filling space (6) and at the top by an upper closing transverse welding seam (9) of the package (1), the package comprising a handle hole (11) which extends through the opposite bag walls and is formed by punching or cutting in the central longitudinal plane of the package (1) and which is provided with a reinforcing strip (12) of plastics sheet or the like weldable and/or bondable material which surrounds its contours and in turn comprises a handle hole (11) with the same contours, the reinforcing strip (12) having a length which is equal to the length of the package (1) and being included in the welding of the upper closing seam (9) of the package (1) as well as in the welding of the head seam (7) and the bottom seam (4) of the filling space (6), characterised in that the bag wall (3) which is free of a longitudinal seam is provided with the reinforcing strip (12) and in that the reinforcing strip (12) is formed from a separate reinforcing band which extends in the region between the upper closing seam (9) of the package (1) and the head seam (7) as well as in the region of the bottom seam (4) of the filling space (6) free of connection to the bag wall (3) which is free of a longitudinal seam.
