Swinging perch for birds

The invention relates to a swinging perch for birds.

The commercially available perches are fixed and usually immobile in the cage. The disadvantage of such perches is that the birds always spend the same position (steadiness). The birds sit on the perches most of the time. Every time they land, take off or sit on the perch, they have the same perch position. This is a big disadvantage. The muscles and body structure are not trained and encouraged much and are not exercised as in nature. In the long term, this leads to physical damage, which leads to the short life expectancy of birds that are kept in cages. There are many movable toys for birds on the market. They spend a lot of time playing. But they sit on their perch most of the time, as their natural instinct dictates.

This invention is intended to enable birds to live in cages as close to nature as possible.

The simple construction of this invention allows the birds to learn to move as they would in nature. The perch is attached to only one side of the cage like the branch of a tree. The end product "swinging perch" should be supplied by the manufacturer as a complete perch in connection with the suspension and the cage bracket. (Figure 1 and 3-7)

The manufacturer should attach the perch to the suspension in such a way that the bird owner can adjust it simply by turning the perch slightly by hand. (Figure 7 A and B) For larger birds, or several animals up to A, for smaller birds, few animals up to B. _,_

of the birds determine the vibration of the perches. (The perch should be horizontal when the birds are sitting on it. Without birds the perch is slightly raised.

Instead of the metal spring, the swinging perch can also be made to vibrate using another flexible material in conjunction with a cage holder. However, the metal spring is preferable. (Figure 3)

Depending on the type and size of the bird, the perch should have different diameters. The springs should be designed in a color that matches the cage.

The closer the bird sits to the spiral spring, the firmer its surface is. Suitable for attaching food, water, etc. The further the bird moves away from the metal spring, the more the branch swings, just like in nature. The birds rediscover their natural instincts in the cage. The perch swings when taking off and landing and when sitting. The birds have to adapt to the different movements of the perch and coordinate their own movements with them. An example: If a bird sits calmly on the perch and a second one lands next to it, both birds are moved by the perch. Due to their natural instinct, they constantly move on the swinging perch just like in the wild (tree).

The birds use this invention as a perch and as a toy at the same time. With 2-3 movable perches, the cage is very interesting. The birds fly from one perch to the other. The birds experiment with the "swinging perch". They run around on the perch and fly up and down, which changes the swinging behavior. With more birds, the game becomes even more exciting.

1. Swinging perch for birds, characterized in that the perch is movable by an elastic metal spring. 2. Swinging perch according to claim 1, characterized in that the perch is attached to only one side of the cage. 3. Swinging perch according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the perch is attached to the cage grid and connected to the perch by a metal spring which changes from the truncated cone shape to the circular cylindrical shape ( Fig. 1). 4. Swinging perch according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the metal spring has the shape of a circular cylinder and can be installed in conjunction with commercially available cage fastenings ( Fig. 3-6). 6.
